Board Meetup
 

Well let's see who's up for the idea. We'd have to consider a place (show) to organize it at, probably trying to aim it at one of the SY tour dates this summer. Another thing is the US/England thing. We could probably have both. We can pick a SY show date somewhere near central US somewhere.
I'll update this thread once we decide on more details

and while i'd love to meet a bunch of the uk/european folks on here, us/everywhere else is just better.

if anyone's in the san jose, california during the summer.. then that's even more awesome.

If I get a good 4 days off work, then I can go, but I'm working a summer Government job, so it may be difficult. We'll have to plan things out right. I'd only need 2 days if it's planned in North East US, but then it would make it harder for people from the West to come

I'd be down so hard if I had money and a way of getting to the states... but alas, I do not...:(

If I get my friend to drive me, I can probably convince him to stop off at toronto on the way down. As long as you chip in on gas!

Even getting to toronto, convincing my parents to let me, could take some work.

the last time they were here as sy was in 2002 or so i guess.

mmm, quite a while then, i saw them last in 2004. Well if its any consolation its probably going to cost me £300+ for all this, gig tickets and hotel and train, and thats not factoring in food. soooooooooooo

well i'm gonna be staying in camden hostel, it's £10 a night, and i will buy food from supermarkets (ie bread) to save cash.,

thats a good way to do it!, im staying at the holiday Inn in camden (unless anyone can suggest a hotel closer?)
Its about £120 a night there in august!, but i have until then to save for it.

wait, the DDN gigs are directly in London or somewhere outside the city???

This will influence my decision if to come or not to a large extent.

Ugh, fuck Holiday Inn! Stay in a hostel or something..as racehorse said it'll probably cost you about £10-£15 a night or something.

screamingskull- ok im gonna give away my secret super-cheap hotel option in London- arosfa hotel, a single room i think was around 45 gbp last year, its right next to British Museum, the location is killer, and the hotel itself is pretty nice for what you pay. google it for website.

If anyone needs a hotel for the US meetup, I can hook you up with one since all my step-siblings are General Managers of hotels and have TONNES of contacts

If there was a meet-up in england I could basically attend though the chances are quite low.
