It's because I triped.

I tripped once when I was 16 and hung around in a park with my girlfriend speaking in tongues. Then I walked a mile in the dark home thinking I was some sort of Terminatoresque Cyborg. It was a saturday, so I got home and Sinead O' Connor was singing directly to me about how I had forsaken her on Saturday Night Live. I then went to bed and listened to Sister and Bad Moon Rising. It was obviously trippy, and the thing I remember most was when Hotwire My Heart was on, it sounded like SY were playing the song on a carousel, with the music speeding up and slowing down and the volume dropping and raising.

Wow, was the sinead o' connor tune called....um ...Nothing Compares. The one where it shows a close up of her face thru-out the whole vid, and she starts balling..? That mustve been strangely emotional.

tripping was when i discovered sy, i was running around a forest with a ghetto blaster on my local public radio, that didnt have night djs at this time and they had put a cart with confusion and bad moon all which ran all night for the duration of my peak

Never really done it. I tripped balls and listened to Animal Collective for hours on Sunday.

i listened to feels on my first trip, it was awesome.... and on that trip i dropped my second hit to "gut feeling" by devo, which is probably the best song to drop a hit to.,
I've listened to murray street on shrooms and it was cool... but the trip was kinda bunky mostly so i'd like to try again just jamming headphones/ esp for rain on tin.

Has anyone jammed while tripping? I have! the music feels so much more energetic...especially when its loud, and your seeing pumpkins moving across the walls.

That would be fun, though I decided I'd never do acid again. I have played music when I'm high, and that is fun.

I played some "freak out" music while tripping when I was in high school. We turned the strobe on. It was pretty insane.

Yeah ive used a strobe when trippin. It does fuck with you tho...But the fireworks are worse

that's fun a thing to do. Me and my friend hooked my guitar into his computer and he added a bunch of effects on it and it sounded goofy.

I "jammed" when I was on acid and everything I recorded was utter garbage.

I enjoy playing after taking my Klonopin, I end up writing some really nice spacey songs that are really relaxing to play and hear.

yea ive tripped on shrooms to daydream nation dozens of time. I love getting lost in the grooves of the record and all that crazy noise stuff. Sister was fun to listen too, especially that intro Schizophrenia.

i haven't tripped for along time, don't need to now the last time was just after john frusciante's niandra lades and usually just a tshirt was released and that was a beautiful roller coaster ride of seratonin. these days just the music is enough for me

Tripping is awesome. I love tripping balls and listening to Sonic Youth. I don't trip often, too unhealthy, but when I do I always listen to SY. There are few bands that are just perfect for tripping to. Sonic Youth is one of them.
