My mystery is solved

I dunno how many of you remember or care, but for the past year and a half I've had some health problems (throwing up, throwing up blood, and resently peeing blood)
Anyways, found out today that I have a 7mm kidney stone. I've probably had about a trillion more of them too haha. And to think that for the longest time I thought I had an ulcer.

Everyneurotic 06.26.2007 08:14 PM

ohh sorry to hear that.

get fixed soon.

porkmarras 06.26.2007 08:15 PM

hope you get better soon darling!

EMMAh 06.26.2007 08:17 PM

Haha thanks guys :D
I know I'll get better, I just hope they never come back.

Trasher02 06.26.2007 08:27 PM

Get better soon!

Danny Himself 06.26.2007 08:29 PM

Who solved the mystery?

EMMAh 06.26.2007 08:30 PM

The guy or girl who looked at my ultrasound pictures.

Danny Himself 06.26.2007 08:37 PM

Oh. I was expecting the hardly boys.

My wife had kidney stones problems a few years ago. Not fun. So you have my sincere sympathies, Emmah. Hope those docs take care of you soon.

SynthethicalY 06.26.2007 09:20 PM

Glad you found out what it was.

Inhuman 06.26.2007 09:22 PM

Awww, my cat died of kidney stones. I wish for the best for you Emmah! Believe me, it's much better knowing what it is than having to assume and have doctors do nothing about it. Good luck!

CHOUT 06.26.2007 11:03 PM

Fuck, those hurt!
I was visiting my mom in the hospital and I suddenly got the worst pain I've ever had...turned out I had them too...pretty convenient/ironic that I was in a hospital so I went right down and got a catscan.

Tip for the future: when somebody mentions they've got an ailment, best not to say that you know of somebody/something who died of said ailment.

You're welcome.

I feel for you. I had them a couple of years ago and ended up in hospital for a few days. I thought that I was going to die. Luckily the pain started while I was on my way to the doctor, oddly enough. Are you going to get it treated with ultrasounds? And most importantly, DRINK OCEANS OF WATER!!

king_buzzo 06.27.2007 06:41 AM

somehow the title of this thread reminds me of Poirot. ho ho

jon boy 06.27.2007 06:43 AM

ouch! well i hope that they can sort it out soon and with the least trouble possible. it must be good to know finally what has been bugging you.

_slavo_ 06.27.2007 06:56 AM

I had a kidney stone too when I was like 5 yrs old. All I can remember is standing in the corner and crying and crying cause the pain was just unbearable.

king_buzzo 06.27.2007 06:58 AM

my granma's sister has kidney stone and she's had it for ages.

_slavo_ 06.27.2007 07:07 AM

I hope you'll do well, Emma.

Emmah, generally speaking, though, people, unlike cats, don't die of kidney stones.

However, the afflicted do in many cases spontaneously change gender, and there are cases where they sprout long horns, like gazelles.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 06.27.2007 11:21 AM

that sucks.
sorry to hear it.

LifeDistortion 06.27.2007 11:26 AM

Damn Em, that sucks. I've never had they kidney stone issues, but I have had issues of going to the hospital for vomiting blood, scary as hell, especially the first time it happens and you have no idea how or why its happening. Take care of yourself, and I wish you nothing but good health.

haha, I would assume that she'd know that humans don't die of kidney stones.

nicfit 06.27.2007 11:38 AM

get the most out of them:

EMMAh 06.27.2007 11:51 AM

Thanks everyone.
We're just waiting for some doctor to call us about treatment. And for whoever asked if I was being treated with ultrasounds, no. The ultrasound just lets the doctor see if there's a stone in the kidney, it doesn't treat it. Apparently I'll most likely have to piss it out, or they do some crazy thing with shock waves haha. Surgery is for stones 2cm or bigger, luckily mine is only 7mm, so less than a cm.

holy shit! a kidney stone! at age 16???

emmah you better start drinking water. but seriously. have yourself checked for metabolic disorders-- a kidney stone at your age? hey not trying to scare you, just, really, out of concern.

so you can STEAL them for your own.

I'm onto you. no, really.

this post is the result of a nervous response to the thought of peeing out lava rocks (I've heard it's the worse pain....ever). I'm feel bad for emmah. :(
