Nirvana wanna-be's
ahhahhhhahahehehehehahehehehehehhhahhahahahaha,
michael pitt is such a tool. |
aw i love michael pitt.
I havent seen it all so far because its buffereing but its okay. The video doesnt quite fit the song. But what if they do seem nirvana-ish? As far as I'm concerned they sound less aggressive.
what about elvis wanna bes what about beatle wanna bes what about led zeppelin wanna bees what about metallica wanna bes nirvana were good and they had followers. I will say michael really looks a lot like kurt although more kidish. |
you want to see something embarassing? look for the video of michael pitt singing hey joe.
haven't you heared the whole song? they look like nirvana, sound like nirvana and even the bandname reminds me of it :D.

its buffering now. |
in all fairness this song and video was done for the last days movie about kurt. it was on the dvd release-unless this was done before the movie totally-dont think so tho. ut seems too blatant a rip off. come to think of it tho there is a performance of his band on the ecstatic peace website and it was kind of nirvanaish too but not so much. dont really like any of it tho his improv piece in the last days movie was really fucking cool. he was making gtr and bass loops and then playing the drums. good shit-

you're right, dear god have mercy on os. |
What a cunt. He should have his vocal chords removed along with all of his artistic integrity.
I think the song is pretty good.
"Happy Song. Nothing is wrong."
Ugh. Like GAG ME WITH A SPOON! |
Although it does kinda sound like a lithium rip-off.
it looks like a The Vines video, with that weirdo face

That was my initial reaction. The resemblance is uncanny, the transition from soft to hard with the scream of "yeah". these guys are total rip-offs, even the name is kinda reminiscant of Nirvana |
ummm....it's pretty bad I find
as soon as I saw the thread title, i knew it would be that.
"I was born in this junkyard"
haha, not so subtle. I don't really mind nirvana ripoffs. I think they're ok. |
The riffs suck pretty much and the lyrics are lame.
I give 2 stars out of 5 |
It almost looked like a parody to me. So shamelessly derivative.
these douchbags are signed to ecstatic peace? what the fuck is that? A joke?
Serial? They can sign to Ecstatic Peace for all I care. the Markers made it a horrible record company anyways.
Such a ripp off. Its so much like nirvana its sickening. They try way too hard, and miss the whole point. The geeza just seems to be acting, holding his hands on his face like "urrrgh i look so like kurt, im gona act like him too". It was too glamorised, and obvious to be a nirvana rip off. i hated it. it should be shot.:fuckyou:
I mean this is just kind of rediculous. What the fuck is thurston thinking? I would figure that he would just laugh in their faces........
"from the label that brought you dead machines and the magik markers' i trust my guitar, etc."
seems appropriate. i said it once on the markers thread on the old board that thurston was probably having the biggest laugh of his life at the irony that his indie record label was behind a retro no wave band when all the major labels and most big indies were looking for retro new wave bands. thurston is probably slapping his knee and crying from laughter knowing people are going to buy crap like that just because it has the "ecstatic peace" logo |
Yeah, probably. Because Thurston's into putting a lot of money and time into practical jokes.... and I Trust My Guitar, Etc. was limited to 500 because he only wanted trick a couple hundred people-- not a lot. Sounds about right.
