What's your favorite Rolling Stones record?
No poll, as there are more than 10 records.
I'd have to go with Exile on Main St. Wot? |
sticky fingers is good, if only for the cover and brown sugar.
|
Sticky Fingers (that's the only Stones record I love from beginning to end actually).
|
Paint It Black
Might get to hear it if they play it at The O2 shows |

Rolling Stones!?
How old are you? |
Beggar's Banquet
although I usually go for that 40 Licks 'greatest hits' thing because it has all my favorite songs on it. |

Excuse me, are you a full-time idiot or is this just a hobby? |
Almost impossible to choose between Let it Bleed and Beggar's Banquet. Exile is incredibly close after those two.
|
![]() Do live records count? ![]() Anyone ever heard the Brussels Affair bootleg? Wooee, there's some lovely guitar work on that motherfucker. |
Oh, yeah!!! Live albums definitely count.
I love Get Yer and anything live from that period. I have some great boots, including Live at Leeds 1971 (Get Yer Leeds Lungs Out). And I have Nasty Music, which is the Brussels thing from 73 with some 72 American tour cuts. The Stones were so hot in those 73 Europe dates. Mick Taylor was spot on. |
Aftermath. Thats one classic. I also have a fondness for Satanic Majesties Request even though I know its not favored among most stones fans.
|
Mick Taylor is sex on a stick.
Best British bluesman of the era, no doubt. |
Satanic Majesties is great, in my opinion.
|
Exile is my fave, but listening to Between the Buttons a lot at the mo.

Oh give me a break. |
Another thread about your favourite Rolling Stones record. What a bore.
|
Says you. Well, I'll consider the source of that remark. Yawn.
|
GMKU, are you king_buzzo's Dad?
You are to the Stones what he is to Dinosaur. Gawd bless you both. |
Why do you not start being hip like me, for a change?
|
Because I couldn't stand to be that pretentious and silly.
|
Pfft.

Thanks, Pookie. Someone has to preserve the legacy. |

You can't come up with anything better than "Pfft?" |
Oh sorry, I should have started another thread about Bob Dylan, instead. So bothered by your sharp remarks, I can't even be bothered to neg rep you back. Too hip for that.

''Ohhhhhhhh look what he's done, there.''

I'm so hip it's unbe-fuckin-lievable. I only ever listen to hip hop. And, being black, I'm hip to begin with. Ask Norman Mailer.

I do not ahve a favorite Stones album, but I love a lot of them equally.
My favorite stones song is WAITING ON A FRIEND |
Good one. Sonny Rollins does the sax part.
|
currently, exile on main st.
beggars banquet and let it bleed are tied for 2nd place |
First record I owned of theirs was Rock 'n' Roll. I still love that record most of all, I think. But saying this, I don't own all their records, not even half their records, so I like it most of what I know. But I love this band.
|
mine is "steel wheels".
I'm searching for the tracklist for the bootleg "THIRD". does anybody know it? |
the best of the rolling stones
