Oh mine was a good Christmas and I am so not into coming back to work today. On Christmas day I had friends around for lunch and I managed to set off the fire alarm in the kitchen, though. It was a good laugh. Yep, sorry to hear about that nicfit.

The thing I missed the most of the "big family reunion lunch" was the "poetry intro", that's when my little cousin silvia stands on a chair and recites a christmas - related poetry, which always makes me laugh a lot coz she looks so serious ha ha. My hot tea kept me warm inside.

good as far as gifts. i got a wii (we've already all heard about that one tank girl, enough already...) and a new computer and i got like $1500 or so in cash and gift cards from various folks which i'm a little sketchy about carrying thru the airport later...i didn't get drunk enough to make an ass of myself either, which is a fucking christmas miracle. i am so ready to get the hell out of here and go back to new york though.

my dad is and my boyfriend's family is, but i got stuff from a lot of people, which adds up, let me tell you. and don't think i didn't do my fair share of giving, either. i got my nieces a kitten. you should have seen their faces when i brought it in.

i still hate christmas but i'm glad i made them happy, you know? i think i'm going to start being mostly good and giving money to the humane society and things like that. maybe i'll take up knitting.

I'm getting more like that in my old age, too.

So, what's in store for New Year's Eve, then?

new years we're getting a room at the chelsea i think because i don't like other people doing drugs in my apartment and we're gonna stay up all night and play records and it's gonna be great.

Couple of friends are having a bash at their place, but I think if we go we'll just make an appearance and drive home. Too many crazies out for me. Note: plus, I haven't been drinking as much lately (only had a bottle or so over xmas), and I'm quite liking the sobriety.

I'm going around to a friend's house who got recently engaged to another guy he met in Iceland, so they decided to have a New Year's Eve do to celebrate. Should be cool, but I am not sure what we're doing after that.

I think I'll be the "soundtrack dj" to a sort of introspective party...sounds weird, huh? Should be at a friend of mine house, we won't party dancing and jumping and shouting and stuff, just enjoying some music according to the mood of conversation and sipping some nice liquids. We have some "serious" stuff to talk about and up till now none of us is in the mood for a normal kind of messy party. Hope everything will be ok.

My Christmas was kind of sad, I've felt strangely empty for the recent couple of days. You know, it was the second Christmas after my mom had passed away, so it was just my dad and me. And as we sat at the Christmas supper (I don't know how you guys celebrate this, but in my country we all sit down on the 24th at about 6pm for a big supper when all the family gets together and all that jazz), my dad suddently felt really sad and I had to start talking this and that to distract him from melancholia. So it was nice, but kind of emotionally draining.

Anyways, I've got some nice presents and I've given some. I've been going out and drinking a lot the past few days and it's making me nauseous. I need to get out of here and return to Bratislava at last.

found out on boxing day that my nan has bad cancer and not long to live

Hated Christmas for years, slept through the whole day like usual.

:mad: A fucking horrible christmas. I get crapy presents (my brother gave me a comic strip for kids, my father gave me a pair of ugly gloves, a calendar,...), my aunt bored me for hours during the lunch, my girlfriend was sick... No music, no book, nothing interesting. And I think I 've seen my grandmother for the last time, 'cause she looks to be at the end of her life.
Next year I 'll go to work instead of spending christmas with my family. Holy shit !!!:fuckyou:

Christmas was very subdued and quiet for me. I was going to head out of town to spend xmas with my g/f's family but that fell through. I got to see alot of my best friends who came in from philly and NYC and austin. Tht was great.

My family and I just ate dinner on christmas eve, we also opened presents that day as well. I saw my BF at his place,came home. We made fun of each other, and went to the movies. Then we had dinner.

My Christmas was actually pretty good. I got a few CDs I wanted, a book, and a Flight Of The Conchords DVD, some clothes, $45 to Barnes and Noble. My Aunt gave me $80 cash, and I also got $200 from my parents to save for Coachella tickets.

It was a pretty awesome day too, had family and friends over, so it was all good fun.

I got shot down on Christmas Eve, but a friend came to me in a dream and showed me it's all part of the plan. For christmas itself, I got an iPod, a mandolin, and some DVDs. I've come into some money as well so I'll be shopping for CDs tomorrow.
