I agree with Foo Fighters and all those emo-indie bands, but i can not agree with Cat Power. She has some wnderful stuff, tho i hate all those covers albums and "big band" concerts that she's into right now.

Guns N Roses are amazing. Try writing as good a song as "epic". Appetite for Destruction is one of the best songs ever made.

Tool is GREAT. Aenima is one of the best albums ever as well.

Metallica are amazing.. unbelievable. Listen to "the frayed ends of sanity" and tell me otherwise. I like their later shit okay, but their first 4 albums are AMAZINGGGGGG.

The Mars Volta shouldn't be mentioned here -- no one seems to like them, and it's usualyl only idiots who defend them.

KoRn's first two albums are great, as is SlipKnot's first album.

Interpol's first album is okay..

sonicpark, not sure how u can defend korn, the riffs lyrics etc... are all horrible if you ask me. but for slipknot, your right, their first alblum was REAL metal. they were heavy as fuck and totally unpretentious about their shit. metallica's first four alblums are unfuckwithable, and appetite for destruction is one of my most listened to alblums of all time.
