Awesome, I really appreciate it.
"alternative" to what? Los Tigres Del Norte?
Alternative as in alternative? You know, like the genre? Like what most people are talking about when they say alternative rock?
afterthefact: most are in myspace.
and los tigres del norte are badass!!!!! |

I only liked one song from them, can you name it? |
Here's a show at my station KPSU you should check out:
http://kpsu.org/program/sudamerican_rockers You can download shows and play streams of old ones too. He plays a lot of stuff, some is great, some is like crappy Spanish versions of famous English language bands. Overall a great resource though. My favorite My Space find is Santa Sangre though they mostly don't have vocals in any language: We are LA's first and only Mexicano Nosie doom band. We like to smoke alot of weed ,drink cheap beer ,Watch massive amounts of movies and we will destroy you !!! We call Mexican food just food.... |
Los Planetas.
Heroes del Silencio?
there was a band like that, wasn't it? |
there is, fronted by one of the worst jim morrison imitators ever to walk the earth.
they are shite, heroes del silencio. |
esplendor geometrico were spanish weren't they?

yes, they were. |
los crudos. they were hardcore though and from chicago.
and Gazo En Tu Leche are worth a listen as well.
vete a la mierda are better.
Brazo de santo
''a colores''...thats all I have
there is a band called a colores, besides the tristeza album (they actually opened for tristeza the last time they came here).
I liked their sound, only thing is its fairly same-y eh?
yes, definitely; i guess you should see them live, a cliché, i know, but they seemed trascendental coming out of the stage.
Yeah, I had them pegged as more of an atmospheric live band....good to know I was somehat correct.
they are actually more like a loose collective, when i saw them, there was like 11 people onstage.
Migala are a good post-rock group, from Spain I believe, and the lyrics are sung in English and Spanish.

was it "Generación de Mierda" ? |
los bukis.
i dont know if you looking for something like thiss... austin tv and porter are good. |
Los Irbarnes make good melodic punk, nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable nonetheless. I tend to prefer punk sang with a Mexican accent myself, but this is good.
Uber are also some good shit, as well as Ratas del Vaticano. |
