I've been hearing such negative comments about the new album that I'm kind of not excited anymore, and I've seen them several times before.

well you can fill you car up on a regular basis or you can fill your cup up with sonic youth live on a not very regular basis, i say fill up the cup of youth

if you have seen them several times before, maybe spend the 25 dollars on half a tank of gas, and wait for the upcoming shows...

dont listen to what anyone else says about the new album, wait till you hear it and make up yr own mind, in the meantime dont mind the gas, in fact sell your car! and go see em live just one more time...i know its such a hassle to see SY live but i think if you look deep into the nether regions of your soul i think you could stand the "feedback and super sounding riffs" just one more time..

i'd sell me granny for a ticket if there was an irish show announced, although she died a few years ago, god rest her soul.

I'm in a sonic delema. I want to see them, but they aren't coming near me without PJ. PJ is fine and all, but I don't want to see them in a big arena and those tickets are expensive. I'd rather see them in a small place, like HOB like I did my first time. I think I am not gonna buy tickets and hope they come back around eventually on their own.

The new album is very boring. It's still probably worth it to see them since they'll still play other songs. But then again, you might stillneed to fill up yr tank just to drive to the show. So.....it's up to you.

I was in a similar situation but I got tickets the show. It'll be my first SY show.

I think this will be my seventh show, but I might be missing one. I almost met them in Rhode Island, when they were crossing the street and passed me, but my friend discouraged me.

im goin to the DC show luckily, i missed them last time, itll be my first show as well. i was worried i would miss them again this year too. how much longer do u think theyll be around? i hope forever :)

I'm gonna try to get up to Columbus for their show with the flaming lips. Not that I'm so jazzed about seeing the flaming lips, but it will be my best shot at seeing the youth this year.

go and see them, unless you have seen them many times before and it really is a thrash. but if you dont then you will be kicking yerself for a long time.

Rather Ripped seems like it will be much more impressive live to me.
