my grandmother is 87 years old and hasn't liked any music since the 40s. my mom refers to sy as "mri noises." so i have the odds stacked against me there.

My grandma likes Johnny Cash, but I don't know what else she listens too. She's hilarious though, she bought one of those remote farting toys with some friends and sat in the mall using it to make farting noises whenever people passed in the mall, and she's 76

Sorry for the double post, but haha this reminds me of my stepdad with Boris. I was listening to Absolutego and once it got to the end where there's 10 minutes of feedback, he burst open my door and yelled "Is something broken?" and I was all "It's music". Then he's like "Yeah, show me how to dance to this". So I said "You don't have to be able to dance to it for it to be music. Go dance to yr Cher".

My grandma is a walking encyclopedia of 40s-50s-60s rock and roll. It's pretty cool. If i'm trying to figure out a song title all i have to do is tell her a line of lyrics and she'll come up with the title, release date, album title and more.

that is so cool, my auntie is a mad Radiohead fan, she loves them, and my dad went around listening to alice in chains "jar of flies" in his car for months! but then when i played him one of their heavy albums he didnt like it, but stayed listening to "jar of flies" - i didnt have the heart to tell him Layne Stanley was a herion addict (he's very anti-drugs, it would have upset him)
