Target Converse One Stars?
are a disaster.
these are one stars: ![]() these are one stars with a shell toe ![]() and these silly things come from target: ![]() |
fucking awful. i love target though. i even have a target credit card. i also rebought syd barrett's second album from target yesterday.
|
My next shoes.
|
converse come in a bazillion different flavors...
i have a pair of john varvatos converse ![]() and a hemp pair... ...it's not surprising in the slightest that you can get a $12 pair at target. [my converse.... let me show you them.] |
I don't care. I think Converses are mad plaid out anyways. Target is the shit. Hooray for corporate America!
|
How are those so bad? They don't look any different than converse, except the star and the fact that they look like they are probably made better.

you mean like this? ![]() |
Quote:
Shit. Spelling error. I meant mad played. Converses haven't been cool for years. |
Quote:
I own no less then four grateful dead t shirts that came from target, my beef is with the ugly shoes themselves, not the franchise, though target has about as much heart as ![]() |
Quote:
I have owned about eight pairs of original one stars, the whole damn point of the shoe is that they DONT have the shell toe like the others. |
Haha, the way you said that, it would almost make somebody think it was important :)
|

These are sick. I have two pairs, one that I love and are full of holes (some holes that I patched) and another that I don't like but have kept because shoes are shoes and someday I'll wear them. I'll probably bring them on my trip instead of my boots. EDIT: Mine aren't hemp though, cause I'm not that cool. |
Oh, come on. They're just shoes.
|
so much fuzz about some fucking sneakers
time for a nap |
lol. i'm wearing camo target one stars right now.

not necessarily, converse are universally complained as being uncomfortable for long durations, and so most peope dont wear them perpetually or exclusively. Of course, if you break through this concept, and force your feet to adjust, similar in method to Shaolin, then you will find that converse turn into your feet themselves. You have to relearn how to walk, and if you already had, then you begint to take these shoes very seriously. the onestars serve as a fashionable version of such shoes, which are more of a meditation then footwear. |
Quote:
They do turn into feet. When I stopped wearing them I kept tripping because I was used to my Converse. |
Quote:
Oh, fuck off. |
Quote:
Why would I ever want to relearn how to walk? It took me months to do it the first time, and my mind was developing at a much faster rate then, so who knows how long that would take now. And like gmku said, they are just shoes. Sure, if my feet got cut off it a terrible accident I would be willing to relearn how to walk, but not so I could wrap a piece of canvas around my foot. |
Quote:
maybe you learned to walk wrong? or perhaps there are just better ways to walk then the way you already learned? Thats like saying, why learn a new language, i have been speaking the one just fine? |
Quote:
But that's completely different; if you learn a new language you can actually use it, when travelling, for a job, whatever. You can actually communicate with people whom you could not before. Would I learn another language if it meant nothing more than practicing something with no worthwhile result in the end? Nope. |
Quote:
who said different modes of walking, different gaits, leyu akkahed in amharic, was useless? |
what the heck is this shit about learning to walk again
walking hasnt changed for me |
he's saying walking, running, jogging, hopping, skipping... are all gaits, like a horse has a gallop, trot or canter. so converse are maybe like a tennessee walk?
heels = prancing? we all learn to walk about 18 different ways by the time we're in high school. ![]() |
describe this walk for me pleaseee
|
|
oh so walking like a penguin?
i dont think i walk like that when wearing those shoes. |
yr doing it wrong.

crazy shit! Target came through for me! Since those One-Star monstrosities were dropped at target I always check to see if some OG ones sneak in under the radar. Converse does not make One-Stars anymore, they sold the brand to Target, and the target ones as posted above, are hideous. So alas, I lost my TM shoe for nearly two years and then surprise surprise!
I occassionaly see these brown onestars at target when I check, but they never have my size, and I went in today to see if they had them cuz I needed them for work (to look dressy-casual) then to my luck I found these in my size! ![]() my TM is back! I missed looking at my feet with these kicks, its been two years! |
Sell out.
|
rockin them hi tops yes sir
|
I like all black.
|
i usually buy nikes, just cause they have the blood of children soaked into them.
|
One Stars are the only shoes that matter.
|
I wear these with black laces:
![]() Actually, I really like Sauconies too.. ![]() So cool! |
The first shoes I ever bought for myself were a brand new pair (well, they looked and felt brand new) of black one stars, froma thrift store, for $1. $50 shoes for a dollar. I wore them for 6 years.
|
Chucks are freaking uncomfortable anyways.
