Hmmmm, what would be the 5 live tracks on the single? - I'll have them somewhere, just not on a single.

I know one of those live tracks is, "The Bedroom". Which would later become "The Destroyed Room", but my opinion is the live version is the best out of the two.

White Kross and The Bedroom are great versions on Irvine '91.

This is the best live recordings I have really ever heard. And live recordings have come along way in 18 years.

When you stop and think about it, Dirty Boots is the closest the band has come to releasing a proper, official live album. They really should pull out all the stops, and reissue this as a full-length with a few other numbers from the Irvine concert as bonus tracks. The cover on this was really cool (Kim at her sexiest, and Thurston looks great with the long hair); they could keep it as is, merely changing the title in the black stripe to something like Dirty Boots Live. Even if they were to ditch the edited studio version of the title track, the title would still work, because there's a live version of that number included. (It would work a damn site better than The Destroyed Room does as a compilation title, given the absense of its namesake!)

technically we have a live version of the entire DDN album so I'd say that IS a proper, official live album.

i found this cd in a seond hand store, i always assuming it was a bootleg!!

a live album would be great. the DDN deluxe one is good, but it'd be great to have lots of the best live stuff from all their era's on a double cd or something. i'd buy that, and they look to be trying to make a bit of money just now.

or for a specific date, the monster jamboree thing - that'd be awsome. although i don't think it is circulating on anything but vhs/youtube?

i think i have the whole show, spread out over several different releases/bootlegs.

apart from the official dirty boots single, most of the rest appears on the "dirty boots" bootleg, except for catholic block, but that's on some geffen promo compilation that i also have.

i can upload all of it later this week. remind me in the weekend if i haven't done it yet by then.

The live version of 'Catholic Block' on a Geffen promo compilation...? That one escapes me for the moment.

And yeah, I guess the Daydream Nation live bonus tracks would probably come the second closest to an official live album. I keep forgetting about those--I haven't picked up the deluxe edition yet.

I think it's sourced from the same recording (FM-broadcast? soundboard?) as the official EP. Except the EP sounds better of course because it's professionally mastered unlike the bootleg.

I'll have it up in a few days, but it'll take me a while to find the CDs I'm affraid. I don't think I've seen them in years. My place is such a mess that I can't find ANY CDs back, except for the ones I've recently bought... they'd be all in random piles on my desk.

after you hear how fucking out of sync kim is with the rest of the band on "my friend goo", you'll wish you never heard the whole show.

Is there an encryption on it? The .ab file? I am having a hard time extracting the file...

No, it's not encrypted but it's Badongo that automatically does that with files over 100mb.

You have to download bot the .aa and the .ab file and then the merge-file (the .rar.bat file in the link below those two). then double-click on that .bat file and you get a normal .rar.

But nevermind, I'll upload it to another site again because badongo is a bitch.
