I'm gonna be out shopping today and want to buy some albums. Tell me some new ones to get (I never seem to buy anything by newish bands - and I'm talking mid 90s onwards here!). You have the power. I am completely at your mercy. I'm gonna be going in about three hours, so hurry up!

If you haven't got it already, get the Burning Witch re-issue CD on Southern Lord. The Heads get another, er, heads-up from me. If you like yer downer-doom metal, get the new Asva CD, that be well good, innit. If you're in the mood for camp disco, there's a new Italo-Disco comp out at the moment - I would imagine that R Trade would have that...

I wouldn't get anything too new. Most of it sucks.

I don't know what your tastes are but Consolers of the Lonely by The Raconteurs is my favorite album of the year thus far.

It may not innovative, but it is a really great listen. Cool guitar work, cool songs, and plenty different from the White Stripes (who are also great)

Ended up getting an old Pentagram CD, the new Free Kitten one and Thurston Moore's Trees Outside the Academy. Possibly the safest choice for a SY Gossip member to make (well apart from the Pentagram CD, which I used to have anyway).

called a radio station when they were guests, but i was calling for something else, mr gers answers the phone. quite the nice fellow, talked for like 5 minutes and then asked him if the host was around because i wanted to talk to him, told me he would get him for me but then a few seconds later someone hung up.

Say, Mr. Neurotic, have you ever heard the band Kadura? I think you'd like them a lot. It's something like Ghost meets Suishou no Fune.
