I hate the taste of silver.

i like metal. everything but death metal, and overly bluesy doom/stoner metal (i mean the kind that just rips of black sabbath).

black metal is easily my favourite, though.

well that's not really what i was going for, but okay. i imagine it might be kind of unpleasant.

i see a failed thread in my future. i didn't need a crystal ball to see that either.

I like (some) metal but I don't know enough about it to have a conversation.

Kerry King has a cool armband...And he's a pretty quick dude...And Dimebag something.

yeah filosofem by burzum is an amazing album, i said that on another forum and some girl had a go at me because y'know... i must be a nazi for enjoying his music. anyway, i owned her and she didn't reply. biitch.

sunn o))) are especially good live, your whole body is just penetrated with sound, you can barely move it likes fucking concrete.

I used to hate metal, because I had a friend who listened to nothing but metal. Then I discovered Iron Maiden (I only like early IM thought).
I'm obsessed with black metal right now (as well as some non bm bands).

I can't get into metal as such for a number of reasons, biggest among them that it mostly doesn't swing like rock and roll.

I do have some exceptions: Boris, Melvins. That's about it.

I first saw the Wizard in 1997, pissed out my mind on beer, and they were montrously loud, evil and great. They looked REALLY pissed off on stage too - like Altamont Hell's Angels playing metal.

I like Burzum, but Varg Vikernes is clearly a cunt of the highest order. Still, who cares about him? He's in prison bitching to himself, and I'm planning a nice weekend and stuff.

Fave Burzum album - "Hvis Lyset Tarr Oss" for me - every track a winner.

Me and demon were talking about the intro riff to "Angel Of Death" last night - trying to play that is well difficult for me, not so much for the speed, but for the clinical precision. Can you play that decently enough?

I haven't heard much off it yet but what I have heard sounds pretty awesome, critical opinion seems place it <bustle in the hedgerow but >NOLA. foolishly i didn't go see them when they played in london. so many regrets....

I am a self-admitted ex-headbanger.

I grew up as a little kid on def leppard, van halen, quiet riot and motley crue (fave bands between age 8-12)
then
I was big into sabbath and early brit metal, l;ike Judas priest and Maiden.

After that I got into the thrash metal (metallica, megadeth, slayer, and whatever thrash was played on headbanger's ball!!!!)

I was really into testament for a while. don;t know why now.

Megadeth was my favorite though. I would play peace sells over and over and over and over again.

Once I found jane's addiction and sonic youth around age 16 I left the metal world behind. hair metal was just so fucking horrible and stupid.

I can still enjoy all my old metal faves. They still hold up.
