I Go To Bed Early These Days
Yes, for the past several weeks, I've been in bed by 10 pm, early by my usual standards. It's good to get a full night's sleep. You won't find me up much chatting here into the wee hours anymore. This is healthier, and I feel better. Don't feel sad about missing me.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I see a bright future for this thread.

stars of the lid.

My girlfriend poops out around 9:30-10:00PM
I rarely get to sleep before midnight. I just can't. I don't hink when I am on my deathbed I will ever regret not getting enough sleep, but I would definitely regret not drawing that on drawing or listening to that record, or playing certain bad ass video games, or whatever. I cannot stand sleep. I do not ever remember my dreams so for me sleep is like an instant passing I feel myself getting sleepy, I fall asleep ussually in less than a minute and almost instantaneously I hear my alarm waking me up there is no time lapse, just a sudden jolt from midnight to 7:00 AM. it is fucking HORRIBLRE sleep is for suckers. soon I hope the mad scientists come up with a pill we can take so we never have to sleep again, oh how much reading I could do between midnight and 7:00 AM! |
I work 3rd shift. So I get to bed at 9 AM. I get up around 3-4PM usually. On the weekends from work, I just stay up as much as possible. Usually one day a week where I end up sleeping 12 hours.
My girlfriend sleeps 12 hours nightly... like 9-10PM to 9-10AM... she has school at noon. |
me too actually. in the past year I have readjusted to waking up early everday for no necessary reason other then to be up early, and subsequently going to bed early, and even avoiding going out past 1AM to be able to get to sleep.
|
7 hours sleep for me
i hate going to bed, i feel like i will miss out on something |
I'm pretty sure that I have this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed...phase_syndrome as I am easy to fuck over my circadian rhythm however last week I had 10pm to 7am which was nice but I recently fucked it over with a night out with friends. |
Sometimes I read in bed, or watch TV, or we, well, you know... blush... But the new routine is, in bed by 10, and usually I'm asleep by midnight. After a good read or whatever... . Then I'm up at 5.15 to make coffee and start the new day. It's a good way to live, I tell you.

I want Frank Sinatra's schedule
he would roar it up until around 6:00 AM wake up around 3:00PM and start it all up again. what a legend. what a man |
He was a blowhard. Dean Martin was way cooler.
|
fuck em both I say. I just want his schedule!
|
Yeah, there is that. You'd have to live in L.A., Las Vegas, NYC, or Paris, though, to really make it work.

I'm currently on holidays, so I usually get to bed around 2 or 3 am every night. It's actually 1:40am by the time I'm writing this

...or crystal meth.
my schedule is fucked beyond recognition, i try to wake up early to go walking but i couldn't this week, and i usually start getting dizzy and fucked up at hours ranging from 11 to 2 and then i make no sense about anything so i have to go to sleep; and sometimes when i get arsed to go to bed, i can't sleep until several minutes, if not hours, later. and i usually blackout for around ten minutes during the day. but yesterday i went to bed at around 2:30, walk about 8:30 and slept like 2 hours at around 4. and the thing is, i usually can't sleep in during day light hours. |
My usual fall/spring schedule is up until 2-4 AM (this includes a midnight coffee, nightly), wake at 8:30-9 AM every day of the week. This schedule is at least twice a week augmented by either A) all night TCM movie marathon (up until about 7AM, "fuck morning classes" sleep until 4 PM), B) stay up and out until 5 AM or later, C) "there's a lot on my mind", music, and cigarettes outdoors until sunrise. Summer is a toss up, no set pattern
|
I usually get to bed around 10:30. I used to wkae up every (non-school) morning at aout 11:00, but I realised this wasn't that great because I was wating my day. Now I wake up at about 8 or 9.
|
My current schedule is: wake up at 6am, leave for work around 8.15am, work till 6, go out/stay in, and then crash out at 2am. Then get up at 6am, and start all over again. Last week, I nearly fell asleep at my desk (I was having nice dreams, too) twice. Ah well, it's worth it for the Melly lifestyle.

Then I should be an American hero. I don't sleep till I see dawn, roaring it up on this board. |
summer nights for me:
a.) up all night, crash at seven, and get up between noon-2. b.) up all night and day, crash at 8 pm, sleep fourteen hours. c.) sleep from 10-6 am and be up to catch the end of the infomercials. usually they happen in this order. |
o rly?

Ah, well like clock work I have fucked it up again. I blame this thread a bit for reminding to worry about it. Took a nap from perhaps 5 or 6 pm and woke up at 8:30pm and now I can't sleep.
Tomorrow. Coffee, hair cut, groceries, coffee, coffee. Or something like that. |
I'm glad I saw this thread, or else I'd probably stay up a whole lot longer. It's like 4:17am now and I've been up for about 20 hours.
|
i didn't get up until 8:00 last night

I remember going to a gay club in Vauxhall a year and a bit ago, and ended up staying up for 48 hours without the help of drugs etc. My mind was fucked by the end of it, but what a fun 2 days! |

you'll start hallucinating and going into phases of microsleep and laughing uncontrollably for no reason |
Oh god, 2 days was enough for me. I should try the 3 days thing. Once!
|
anything over 20 hours for me is painful. school schedules have given me the internal body clock of an 80 year old woman.
|
my eyes start to water if i stay up too long, which is really annoying
but i can make it two days without drugs, no problem. three would be a stretch. |
I've "retired" from doing drugs (for many boring reasons), but I wouldn't mind experiencing 2 days w/no sleep on mushrooms. Groovy, man.
|
i imagine i'd have to probably do a lot of blow to make it any more than two days, but i'm not really interested in being that crazy these days.
|
i'm too type-a for drugs. i go for this drink powder with 160 milligrams of caffeine in a pouch. it's good stuff.
|
|
yeah!

i was just thinking about that! gracias, dear. |
