Recommend me some dreamy, atmospheric music!

Dream pop, shoegaze, whatever.

If you list a band that I've already heard, I will stab you! (just kidding ;))

I've been listening to bands like Slowdive, Cocteau Twins and A.R. Kane lately and would like to expand upon this sort of sound.

gualbert 08.06.2008 05:28 PM

Yes you can.T Though I really love shoegaze, I find most of this "neogaze" thingy really boooring.
lovesliescrushing was the first thing that came to mind when I read this thread title as well, you would probably like it Derek

Danny Himself 08.06.2008 06:13 PM

You need some Felt in your life.

MellySingsDoom 08.06.2008 06:16 PM

Derek - Have you heard AR Kane's "69"? That would be right up your street (I uploaded that for a boardie a couple of weeks ago).

Must go listen to "Sadomasochism Is A Must" by them now!

Yeah, I shouldn't have made such a blanket statement because there's many (mostly newer) things that are put under the "shoegaze" banner and are horrible. You can't go wrong with good shoegaze. lovesliescrushing does fit perfectly although I wouldn't call Astrobrite dreamy, at least not the recent stuff.
