Shoes I've known and loved
1. Camper Brothers
2. Sperry Original Brown/white Topsiders 3. Clarks Originals Desert Boots (1 pr gray, 1 pr brown) 4. Clarks Originals Desert Treks (brown beeswax leather) 5. J. Crew leather flip flops 6. Teva sandals 7. Converse blue lows 8. Merrill sneakers 9. Lowa Tempest LOS (hiking shoes) 10. Puma green suede sneakers 11. Doc Marten brown leather boots 12. Doc Marten black leather shoes 13. Born leather oxfords 14. Born suede lace-up loafer/sneaker These are currently in my closet, collected over the past 12 years or so. The Lowas, by the way, are a great tough shoe. I wore them for several winters in Iowa, mowed the yard with them on many times here in South Carolina, recently washed and refurbished them, and they still hold up. There's hardly any wear in the hard rubber sole. I think you could wear these in the jungles of Madagascar and they'd keep you in good stead. They're also very comfortable. |
I wanted to start a shoe thread the last days two...
my favourites are grey chucks and grey/white puma suedes |
Grey's a good shoe color.
|
yes I am totally into it. looks pretty good when they are dirty too. (which is important for me)
my chucks: ![]() my pumas: ![]() both are not new anymore, looks even better I think |

you must have to have feet in order to love shoes. :(
|
same for some puma or chucks, you will never see them again

In the early 90s I owned, no kidding, like 6 pairs of Converse. Black, red, blue, low and high tops. I wish I'd hung onto them. |
By the way, if anybody ever finds a pair of these in size 11, please let me know. I am lusting for them but they appear to be out of production.

This is my collection of black & white shoes only:
![]() I think I have an addiction. |
hm yeah, shoes. my favorite subject. look at me go.
out of here. |
Ha ha! I know, I know, I'm such a girl. Well, the way I look at it, I have to wear something on my feet, so I might as well make it a halfway interesting pursuit.
Next topic: Socks and You! |
yeah puma suedes are awesome in general.

You mean, you wear only black-and-white shoes, or this is the black-and-white part of your whole collection? |

it's ok. we are all androgynous in one way or another. but my inner female perfers automatic weapons. |
Oh, yes. Guns. I have to admit, there's something satisfying on a gut level about firing a pistol, like at a firing range. I relished my annual qualifying in the Air Force. At the same time, guns in general frighten me a bit. Enough to keep me from actually owning one.
And a good handgun is not nearly as affordable as a good pair of shoes. Or as safe. |

how about the ak 47 ![]() |
Bye.

In certain hands, they're lovely, aren't they. |
Of course, there are practical reasons for being obsessed about footwear. If I'm going to track down a bomb maker in Madagascar, for example, I need shoes that are up to the job.

chucks for ever. If I had to decide for one oair of shoes for the rest of my life I would go for them!

![]() I am wearing these right now. they are the single greatest pair of shoes I have ever had. I only wear this pair or chucks I update my converse whenever they need replacing, perhaps biannually, switching it up between ![]() ![]() trying to find these ![]() |
![]() I bought a few pairs of $20-$30 shoes a few months ago, and these were by far my favorite. Light as a feather. It seriously feels like I'm not wearing shoes, and they're more durable than the others. I also got shoes like these: ![]() but they have black and purple guitars on them instead of Pacman ghosts. |

Is there no winter in Germany???? ;) My toes got really fucked up from wearing Chucks in the winter, that's pretty much why I wear boots now. They're good for every season (I put liners in for the winter) and your feet don't ever get wet. |
My current Chucks. They now have a bit of green tape over the hole to keep puddle water out. I also have a green pair with green laces, low-top black kept stock and a pair of the Target one stars.

sure it gets down to -20°C (dunno how much is that in fahrenheit) sometime even lower, which is really really cold. but two pair of thick socks ever worked for me. if not I do that with my pumas :) never wear boots |
Even in the cold here, (like 32F (0C) and below) I wear two pairs of socks with the Chucks. My toes are completely frozen from late September until April. I've learned to live with it.

Crazy person. |
^^hahahaha

i wear chucks in wintertime too, but it doesn't get that cold here. the only boots i have and still like, can only be worn with a skirt or dress (unless you tuck your pants in them and i'll never do that) so when its really cold id rather wear a dress, leggings, warm socks and boots.
i've been wearing my black chucks for two weeks now, they're the best i have for standing all day like i do these days. |
