anybody listened to this monster already?
a 2 and a half hour drone piece (which goes over 2 CDs) of O rourkes long gone studying years seems to be pretty interesting....

as much as i love o'rourke, i don't think i could sit all teh way through a 2 hour + drone piece. not in one sitting anyway. let us know how it is.

i listened to 'tamper' which is definitley in this vein, three real long as fuck slow sweeping drone pieces. quite good, but i havnt put it on more than twice (so not that good?), i duno, i like when jim is making beautiful songs, like in gastr, or on eureka or halfway to a threeway etc..., best, or when he makes chaos in his various side projects. this is interesting, but not something i could totally love.

Finally I received today a mail that it has been shipped. it was my second try to order that bastard. looking forward to blast it through my system for 2 and a half hours, hahaha

Downloaded it and listened recently. As far as drone goes, it's a bit slower to do anything than most. I mean, the thing really drones. After about 45 minutes into the first part it gets really fucking good though. I'd say the 2nd disc is the best of the two. I LOVE drone, one of my favorite genres, so I think it's excellent...

thats really good to hear, i love drone stuff too, but not everything. seems to be a good order so far, do you still got the DL link? cant wait till its here...

I cant imagine myself listenign to it very often, but I am really interested what it would be like, how it evolves in such a wide range of time. and everything I read says almost the same like atsonicpark so the second disc must be really good!

how do you get over 4000 friends in 2 months? with a drone project?

Well, we had 5,000 but our old account got hacked, so we added a bunch of people from that account and then requested that they advertise us on bulletins so people would add to us to get us back up to where we were. Everyone was really helpful and understanding.. it's been a lot of work to get things back in order but we slowly are.

But, the old account was around for 2 years and we advertised a lot and have a lot of releases out...

oh yes that makes sense. I was just asking because: 2 month old site, 5000 visitors and over 4000 friends looked a lil bit extreme

No idea. They logged into it once after hacking it, on September 11th no less...

What can you do while "tripping on acid"?
I mean can you cook, watch a film, talk at all. Do you know what your're doing or would you just lie down on the floor, dribbling? I've never done acid. i don't have a clue.

I dunno, it's different for different people. I laugh a lot at first, but after a while it gets amazing. I can do anything, though I'd rather just lay and listen to music.

but the record is pretty good and worth listening too, especially the second disc
