greedrex 10.01.2008 10:17 AM

i gotta get my hands on in/casino/out
never listened to it.
is it THAT good?

[Sandbag] 10.01.2008 10:18 AM

yeh... lookin' forward in/casino/out [dont have it]

lechaoscestmoi 10.01.2008 10:37 AM

my fav atdi song is "for now.. we toast"

Rob Instigator 10.01.2008 10:42 AM

I think Arc Arsenal is maybe the best lead-off song on an album in twenty years

that riff!!
<3

atsonicpark 10.01.2008 11:10 AM

It's a pretty good album. Hate the last song. This was my favorite album when I was 14. Can't believe it's been that long.

The production sounds good except that the vocals are way too loud.

definately

and I saw them too short before they broke up. the funny thing is there is a semi-pro shot of that gig on youtube. but just the song which I dont like by them...damn

atsonicpark 10.01.2008 11:22 AM

In/Casino/Out isn't a masterpiece. It's got some brilliant stuff on it but it's also got their absolute worst songs on it. I really like "Pickpocket" and "Napoleon solo".

[Sandbag] 10.01.2008 11:27 AM

noice...
sounds like a 'musthave'
*downloading* :)

atsonicpark 10.01.2008 11:36 AM

Acrobatic Tenement is where it's at. "Vaya" is awesome too, though short.

Sonic Youth 37 10.01.2008 12:29 PM

Relationship is great. Actually listening to it right now, I've about halfway through.

Big ups to Rob's choice of Arcarsenal. Opener is fucking in-tents.

punkaspoo 10.01.2008 12:43 PM

Just listening to it for a long time. Sounds..uhmm...okay. Not really an amazing piece of art but good guitar playing though. Favortie songs One Armed Scissors and Sleepwalk Capsules.

atsonicpark 10.01.2008 03:40 PM

Yeah, people on here generally overrate decent stuff and then pay no attention to really great music.

how do you rediscover an album released a year ago?

ZEROpumpkins 10.02.2008 05:45 AM

Acrobatic Tenement for the awesome rock win.

you get the album
you say 'its ok'
you listen to other stuff
you listen to that album again
you like it and say : tis good

might be wrong

_slavo_ 10.02.2008 07:04 AM

"Pattern Against User" totally reminds me of driving from Pueblo, CO to Canyon City, CO in an old crippled Honda in the summer heat.

al shabbray 10.02.2008 08:39 AM

I think alot of atd-i songs sound like desert/heat, at least for me

atsonicpark 10.02.2008 10:58 AM

???

Relationship of Command sounds like SlipKnot to me.

....

The production I mean.

....

Since it was the same producer.

al shabbray 10.02.2008 11:10 AM

yes t was the same producer. but it fits like perfect to arcarsenal. and I dont think robinson tried to push them in the nu metal corner, which speaks for him.

atsonicpark 10.02.2008 12:42 PM

ross robinson's a great producer. Love his work with AMEN and KoRn.

He always mixes the vocals too loud though.

al shabbray 10.02.2008 12:46 PM

yes he definately developed a whole new genre and at the same time the best sounding productions of it. I am not into it anymore, but in my teen years I digged those bands a lot, but I was afraid that he was producing relationship of command till I listened to it

and I totally agree to the vocals

ZEROpumpkins 10.02.2008 07:54 PM

I hate when vocals are mixed too loud. For some producers, that's the only thing that matters.

[Sandbag] 10.02.2008 08:17 PM

haha.. i think vocals are fine.
its just so fast, urgent and full of riffs you just don't get bored :)

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 10.02.2008 08:54 PM

I only really dig the first half of the album.
Though I don't know if it's becuz I heard them first but I prefer Sparta. I just really love Wiretap scars.

atsonicpark 10.02.2008 09:06 PM

...what

Relationship of Command has the worst song titles ever. The second to last song is my favorite and the one that goes "railroad tracks" with the feedback at the beginning.

How music expert is that.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 10.02.2008 09:11 PM

i am slightly confused.
