Hip Priest 06.07.2006 10:42 AM

I'm thinking about cutting back the ivy in our garden a little bit. I don't like to, because of the wildlife, but I might get rid of a bit later on.

toxic johnny 06.07.2006 10:51 AM

I'm thinking that I've had a complete waste of a day, just sitting here waiting for the NTL guy to come and fix my cable box.

Hip Priest 06.07.2006 10:53 AM

You with NTL too? Apparantly, because of the takeover, if you have NTL for all of their stuff plus a virgin mobile phone, you'll be offered free pay-per-view channels soon. I'm thinking that that might be nice. Maybe see a bit of cricket.

toxic johnny 06.07.2006 10:56 AM

Aah I didn't know about that... cheers for the tip!

Signpost 06.07.2006 10:57 AM

I'm thinking too much. And i've got a headache.

umjammer atomsk 06.07.2006 11:46 AM

I'm thinking that tuning my guitar to match sy songs is such a hassle. I'm also thinking about whether or not I should visit the doctor today because I have a sinus infection. And to top it off, I'm thinking now I should spend less time on the internet.

alyasa 06.07.2006 12:42 PM

I'm thinking Sn@ke's on some sort of psychotropic, mood-alterer.

Inhuman 06.07.2006 12:49 PM

Iain 06.07.2006 03:34 PM

I'm thinking about NTL now thanks to reading this thread and how my internet has been wonky all weekend and if something or other and The Fall because I'm listening to them and the drumming is nice and I'm thinking about the drum kit that is sitting in the front room and how it would be nice if I was able to play the drums but I had a go earlier and I have no rhythm or timing la la la la.

HaydenAsche 06.07.2006 05:18 PM

I am thinking "Argh! Date tonight! It has been so long!"

toxic johnny 06.07.2006 05:22 PM

I'm thinking that I hope Hayden's date goes well!

Pookie 06.07.2006 05:23 PM

Should I go to bed?

nomadicfollower 06.07.2006 05:25 PM

Which Walt Whitman poem collection should I get?

DoubleNickels 06.07.2006 05:25 PM

I wanna jam with Thurston. So badly. :(

Pookie 06.07.2006 05:33 PM

Reminds me - I bid for Thurston's shoes on Ebay. Didn't win them. He's the same size as me (in the foot dept. at least).

DoubleNickels 06.07.2006 05:39 PM

Heh, no shit? That's kinda cool.

pokkeherrie 06.07.2006 06:01 PM

hooya. it's true there are many different editions. i have a portable one by penguin i think i bought in the middle east when i was desperatly fiending for american poetry. i say whatever works. if you find an old little copy with no publisher information buy it at once-- it's worth $$$ (the first edition was self-published-- the literary "myspace" of the time. i know someone who got one by accident like that).

nomadicfollower 06.07.2006 07:23 PM

I have some edition, a rather old one in fact, pages falling out and the such. It's Leaves of Grass, and I very much enjoy it. I want to get a new one though, maybe a nice one, with less wear and tear, without the pencils markings some kid must've made, without the cup ring on the cover.

!@#$%! 06.07.2006 07:25 PM

you know the other day, in a friend's house, i was reading one done by some famous photographer. i mean it's the poems & then "related" photos inspired by them i guess. i forget the name but you could google or find out. nice large volume, good typography, and if i recall well (i was a bit drunk, in my defense) a complete index of first verses & titles & names & what not.

nomadicfollower 06.07.2006 07:31 PM

Though I am rather appaled:

EMMAh 06.07.2006 07:31 PM

I'm thinking about how the mix CD I'm making for my friend sucks hairy balls. I'm also thinking about how bored I am and that I wish I could have stayed at my friends.

johnnywinternoshow 06.07.2006 07:35 PM

Neat but pricey.
It would be interesting to see which pictures went with which poems though.

i just read somewhere that weston didn't give a shit about whitman ha ha. there are docks & fields & things like that. the book is kind of a gem in the sense that it brings together 2 american masters. i think $50 is not bad at all-- some people would consider it a (i must hold my barf here) "collectible". *gag reflex* -- worth the price...

checked in amazon but they don't have it....
