* Looks like a steroid monster inside the body of a petrol attendant.
* Sings rubbish songs in an annoyingly shouty voice
* Gets punched out regularly after trying to start trouble with people.
* Seems very much without a sense of humour.

I vote "yes" - his glory days of the Misfits are way past him now.

He is the King of Douchebaggery.

I'm sure he was ALWAYS a douchebag. the world just caught up to (and surpassed) his level of darkness. without the relevancy of evil to prop up his image (9/10 neo-goth-punks prefer Marilyn Manson), the cracks started to show.

that said, the Thrasher Magazine - June '86 interview with him had a serious impact on my yet-to-be-DOOM-filled mind.

I havent paid any attention to him since "Mother." Regardless of anything since, he was in the Misfits, so he's got a get out douche free card in my book.

He's definitely not the biggest, Cheney has him beat on that one hands down.

The Misfits (old Misfits, the Danzig-lead Misfits) are one of the best bands ever. Better than Sonic Youth, actually.

Misfits have some of the best melodies ever.

Completely unique for a punk band when they came out.

"Halloween" "Horror Hotel" "Horror Business" "Hybrid Moments" "Where Eagles Dare".. fucking amazing songs. Damn.

Seriously, no one else sounds like the Misfits. Those 3 Danzing era albums are all gold. I've probably listened to "We Bite" at least 6 times already today.

Later day Misfits is cheesy, but fun. I'd actually take Graves/Doyle Misfits over most recent Danzig albums. But of course none of it comes close to WALK AMONG US, STATIC AGE, etc.

Glenn Danzig may very well be a major douche, however that doesn't change the fact that Danzig era Misfits are one of my favorite bands of all time.
