Nothing is in New Mexico really. Two of my best friends that moved away a year or so ago just moved down there and me and my friends are going down there to live with them too. I need to get away from MN.

Not that I'm aware of...
But I've always thought that it was renamed New York from New Amsterdam (or New Netherlands) by the British after they kicked out the Dutch, so they'd be the ones to blame for the less than creative names.

Huh, didn't realize that. I just figured we changed it from New Netherlands since it just doesn't roll off the tongue so well.
