_slavo_ 12.24.2008 07:46 AM

i thought it was named after Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria and thought shentov would probably loved that.
but it's not that Sofia, as I see now.

ZEROpumpkins 12.24.2008 07:53 AM

Sorry to disappoint. He can pretend that is the case, however. This is why I couldn't do your birthday song, _slavo_, because I was busy with this.

sarramkrop 12.24.2008 07:55 AM

Will this make me feel sick?

atsonicpark 12.24.2008 08:53 AM

cool, gettin' this shit now.

acousticrock87 12.24.2008 03:32 PM

This reminds me. About a month ago, I had my iTunes on shuffle, and one of my friends kept complaining about the music it was selecting. One time it stopped on a Mesh Gear Fox song (I don't remember which, but it was on The Sum of Subtraction) and she stopped and went, "Hey I actually like this. Who is it?"

Score. Downloading.

EDIT: Just listened. Loved it. The middle tracks, especially.

Marty totally has a thing for Sofia.

I wrote a girl a song once, then I listened to it again and realised it sucked so I scrapped it.

Sweet. Glad you liked the middle tracks, that's kind of where I'm heading.

atsonicpark 12.24.2008 05:47 PM

I have this on right now and it's great shit. I'm on just harm everything right now and it's my favorite.

ZEROpumpkins 12.24.2008 05:50 PM

Cheers, man :D
If you can name the drum sample used in it, you win a prize.

Trasher02 12.24.2008 05:59 PM

Niiiiice I really like the first 2 songs.

I posted this is another thread, but it's probably more suitable here:
Mesh Gear Fox discography. All albums are free anyway, but I collected them together here for your convenience. Only get the first one after you've checked out the others, I'd say. Anyway, here's them in chronological order:
Mesh Gear Fox - Mesh Gear Fox I (2008)(Pretty amateurish, not reccomended)
Mesh Gear Fox - The Future is So Bright, It's Making Me Blind (2008)
Mesh Gear Fox - Grey Area (Ambient 1) (2008)
Mesh Gear Fox - The Sum of Subtraction (2008)
Mesh Gear Fox - Inclusion Therapy (2008)
Mesh Gear Fox - Sofia EP (2008)
Mesh Gear Fox - Ambient 2: New Year's Morning(2008)

ZEROpumpkins 12.26.2008 08:13 PM

Weekend bump :D

acousticrock87 12.26.2008 08:23 PM

Haha using the weekend as an excuse to shamelessly bump. Sly.

Rob Instigator 12.29.2008 01:57 PM

hey homeslice, your new shit's been -FUPPETED-.

Derek 12.29.2008 05:15 PM

Very good stuff. Throw me up some of the VSTs you used and I'll love you forever.

Thanks!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ZEROpumpkins again.

I actually used Sytrus on every track, it's bundled in with FL Studio but is truly an amazing synth in it's own right. If you don't have it, you'll have to hunt for the VST version, as the one I have is only compatible with FL.

Other than that, I used a couple of VST effects and some Max/MSP patches I made, which you are welcome to have and use without worrying about crediting me in whatever way. The fact that you checked out my music is rewarding enough :)

Derek 12.29.2008 07:19 PM

Sweet! Throw it up on mediafire or whatever and send me a PM if it's not too much bother.

Have you got Max/Msp? Those are my best works.
Or should I just throw the VST's up? I've gotta fix a couple of them first, gimme a couple of minutes

Derek 12.29.2008 07:23 PM

I don't, I just have fruityloops.

Righto, I'll get cracking, just gotta put a module in that lets you save settings and stuff. I stupidly forgot to do this with a LOT of mine.
Gimme 20 mins

Derek 12.29.2008 07:38 PM

Yeah it's cool, take as much time as you want. I'm going to sleep soon.

ZEROpumpkins 12.29.2008 08:00 PM

http://www.mediafire.com/?miniuyjnmtj
Includes:
Squarer - Squares the input signal to distort it. Good for glitchy stuff.
Ring King - Stereo ring mod. It's my favourite
Phase Distortion - Delays all negative values of a signal by a certain amount (from a few samples to half a second) to distort it, sounding a bit like a rectifier
Env Delay - An envelope follower hooked up to a delay, i.e. the louder a signal, the more delay. You can set the delay range to little difference between loud and soft sounds, to a big difference.

That's only 4 of the 12 or so I have, enjoy them, I'll upload the rest when I fix em up a bit.

Derek 12.29.2008 09:27 PM

Thanks!
