2009 resolutions.

The year of the Rat will be over soon (First Day of the Year of the Ox falls on 1/26/2009).

let's welcome 2009 in the best possible ways.

wiki says: A New Year's Resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous.

new year can start anyday same as will power.

I choose January 2nd to start a renewal plan.

2009 RENEWAL PLAN

1- live healthier physically.
smoke -50%
drink -50%
exercise +50%
eat organic

2- live mentally healthier.
make peace with my father
make peace with my mother
meditate before going to sleep
spend -50% time using electronics
listen to sonic youth and other noise without being influenced in bad ways

I tried to be realistic. "quit drinking" would be a lie. I made something similar last year and it worked out good... I quit cocaine.

share if you want

have a good time everyone.

ihateyouth 12.31.2008 05:19 PM

I forgot the sex. I don't know what to do about sex.

I chose not to make any resolutions for 2009. I had one for 2008 but now I'm bitterly disappointed. No resolution - No disappointment!

i should do more useful stuff, focus on the main things and not just on details.

stu666 01.01.2009 08:35 AM

i think i will try and be less kind this year and think of myself more
+ give up smoking (again)

_slavo_ 01.01.2009 10:08 AM

- give up smoking forever. it does no good to me
- drink way less than I do now
- continue therapy and win over my mental issues
- travel to South America (my plan is Peru)

- be nicer to myself and value myself higher

Alex's Trip 01.01.2009 12:41 PM

I think I am going to have an overall New Years resolution to be healthier and lose weight which is pretty boring, but I am going to achieve this (at least for January) with a raw diet. No cooked or processed foods. This does not include meat and dairy. So I will be eating a shitload of fruits and veggies. I'm kind of doing it on a whim, but I really want to try it because it is supposed to make everyone feel really healthy.

flophousefloozie 01.01.2009 02:00 PM

1.Spend more time with you people.
2.Lose weight.

Glice 01.01.2009 02:24 PM

Usual shit from me, less smoking and all that cack. Also, reduce internet faffing and write more sestinas.

Glice 01.01.2009 02:24 PM

Also, I'm going to steal Slavo's and be nicer to Susan, though I'll have to find a Susan to be nicer to.

i'm susan!

NWRA 01.01.2009 02:34 PM

Stop watching TV apart from things that I've planned on watching, that are likely to be good.
Listen to albums that I haven't listened to for a while, and get rid of them if they're no good. I'm nearing saturation-point.
Get more sleep.
Find a comfortable middleground between having no routine at all for getting my work done and having a routine which is off-puttingly strict.

EVOLghost 01.01.2009 02:36 PM

To not get too fcked up next new years.

alteredcourse 01.01.2009 02:47 PM

The standards:
Lose weight/Gain stamina
Drink Less/Play More

I think instead of trying to face those issues head on, I should be doing other things that would result in their achievement. The head on thing doesnt work.

I like slavo's resolutions.

Hm, I wrote down some random goals on a sheet of paper the other day - they can be my resolutions:
---reformat computer
---exercise regularly: start with once a week each, weights at home/long walk
---get new pants
---plan summer stuff early: hikes in beautiful BC mountains, small trips to nearby cities IE portland
---learn how to ride a motorcycle/get license/get bike

ricechex 01.01.2009 03:20 PM

To gain more discipline and structure, since i'm too unorganized and lazy. That's where the less bud part comes in..damn it.

Glice never ceases to amaze me with the usage of words I've never heard before. In the two sentences above, there are three of this kind: cack, faffing and sestinas.

MellySingsDoom 01.01.2009 04:01 PM

1. Eat more healhily
2. Record more music.
3. Stop being such a lazy git.
4. Find someone to share my life with.

Glice 01.01.2009 04:02 PM

Faff is a brilliant word. Everyone should use it.

demonrail666 01.01.2009 04:07 PM

I predict the triumphant return of pottering about
