Alex's Trip 01.07.2009 01:04 PM

I am in Vegas

and it's early
and I'm tired
and my room key no longer works so I am reluctant to leave (or get dressed)
and I might see Penn and Teller
and I will probably go to Circus Circus with my little sister

But right before we left for Vegas, my Holga lomography camera was delivered, so I am fucking excited as shit to take pictures.

sweet, congrats-- go & photograph some good lomos. and then also the broken, soulless fleshbots who walk around vegas like shadows of real people.

floatingslowly 01.07.2009 01:39 PM

and WHAT EXACTLY is WRONG with soulless fleshbots??? ?

PS: unless yr 5 years old, don't waste yr time with Circus Circus. surely there is something better to do there than a clown-themed casino (that you can't even gamble at).

well we are ALL technically "soulless", but i dont use that word in the religious sense-- more in the sense of deadened emotions and joylessness.

if you are asking me what's wrong w/ joylessness well then i am sorry.

floatingslowly 01.07.2009 01:45 PM

speaking of deadened emotions....I think I might have a small crush on a Vulcan. :o

I hope THAT stays in Vegas.

greedrex 01.07.2009 02:23 PM

how much did you pay for this Holga, if you don't mind me asking.

o'connor 01.07.2009 02:30 PM

yeah i never understood the point of going to vegas if yr not old enough to gamble. that's all there is to do there right?

Rob Instigator 01.07.2009 02:48 PM

gambling, drinking, extremely overpriced "shows" of old has-been motherfuckers singing claptrap, hookers everywhere, etc.

only thing to do for those younger than 21 is people watching, but not in the casinos!

schizophrenicroom 01.07.2009 03:09 PM

dude, GO TO CIRCUS CIRCUS. you will not regret it.

the riviera has some nice shopping, and you can go for a ride in a gondola.

Daddylikes 01.07.2009 03:38 PM

ride the Coney Island at New York, New York!

Rob Instigator 01.07.2009 03:52 PM

party with these peeps

I paid 60 on Amazon for the starter kit (I had enough Amazon gift money from Christmas).

Turns out I am going to see Penn and Teller.

Some old queen was really heart broken because he couldn't afford to see Bette Midler

pbradley 01.07.2009 09:46 PM

I was a part of the Penn and Teller show. He, Penn, "read my mind." And Teller spoke to me.

Yeah. They handed out two books to two sides of the audience, and it found its way to me when Penn said whoever had it needed to stand up and choose a joke out of the book. I chose "Church...a place to encounter nodding acquaintances." and he recited it to me and said it was through cold reading. Apparently he memorized the whole book...
