now to make this thread fun, I say that floatingslowly is not allowed to add to the list himself. I'll start.

1. The Flaming Lips
2. The Smashing Pumpkins

I didn't think floatingslowly posted much in this forum to begin with... hey, this thread is TOO HARD!

On the evidence so far, 'shit bands that are shit' would be a more appropriate title. Throw Beck in there while you're about it.

I got a PM from Jim O'Rourke telling me kindly not do diss his reputation by spreading gossip that he was seen smoking weed with Thurston in 2004 @ the Troubadour gig.. I laughed hysterically, even more so when I realized it was legit!

polyphonic spree are one of the worst bands ever

the first album was genius start-to-finish. after that....meh. after hearing it 100x, 1 year after release and still being billed as "the new album"...meh.

In the case of Flaming Lips... loud and flamboyant doesn't necessarily equal great...
