Hahaha...Ex-boyfriends are hilarious

I just got a message from one. He tried to act like a little jerky hurt puppy. He went on this diatribe trying to say hurtful things and then turn around and try and be cordial.

I told him I didn't even have a reply and gave him best wishes.

Boys are funny.

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 10:19 AM

I realize that you guys don't really give two shits about this, but it was funny to me.

gmku 05.01.2009 10:26 AM

I wanna be your boyfriend.

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 10:28 AM

Only if you sing it to me every night.

EVOLghost 05.01.2009 10:32 AM

Now I wanna be yr dog.

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 10:34 AM

You can sing that to me too. Ramones and Iggy Pop. yum.

This tends to be my main method of communication a week or so into a relationship. Interesting that he waited until after yours was over. He's obviously the thoughtful type.

floatingslowly 05.01.2009 10:36 AM

when I "ex" someone, I mean it.

they never hear from me again (and vice versa).

I'm not into carrying around baggage.

then again, I have a reset button that allows me to put them behind me.

you guys should really look into getting reset buttons installed.

I've always wanted one of those. I unfortunately got wired up with one of thos 'hate-filled self-loathing' switches instead. Problem is, once it's switched on, it seems incapable of being switched off. Which is a real nuisance.

:)

He's not that bad, but he is acting silly. That's ok, he's an ex. I don't have to deal with him much (we are in the same social circle, so we will run into each other).

Family and friends have tossed around the idea.

gmku 05.01.2009 11:13 AM

Well, come up and pay a visit some time. I even have a spare bedroom so I promise to behave most gentlemanly.

I'm relatively new and haven't checked out everything yet, but I've got one or two haunts. Great record stores. A couple of bars I like. I'm gonna check out the Fine Arts Movie Theater this weekend and see Tokyo.

Kloriel 05.01.2009 11:15 AM

hey james

demonrail666 05.01.2009 11:15 AM

Ah yes, the old 'spare room' tactic. I like your style.

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 11:16 AM

sweet, yeah there are always good bands and cultural happenings. Plus its great camping/backpacking and what not.

:)

gmku 05.01.2009 11:16 AM

EDITED for grammar: Demonrail, I am nothing if not smooth. Now go away, you're cramping my style.

Kloriel 05.01.2009 11:23 AM

hey james

gmku 05.01.2009 11:24 AM

May I help you?

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 11:24 AM

Hahaha...I showed one of my best friends the message he sent me and she totally ripped him a new one. It was hilarious. In addition to the hilarity she also corrected his horrible spelling. That's why we've been friends since we were 9. :)

gmku 05.01.2009 11:25 AM

Edited for syntax: There is nothing like the combined fury of two women to put a man in his place.

Be careful, if her best friend gets a hold of your double negative the whole plan could collapse around you.

My God man, I've never seen you commit such a syntactical whirlwind of errors.

Syntactical whirlwind? Interesting. Nah, this is just how my mind gets after 5 straight days in editorial mode. Mush. I have to edit/write basically 9-5 these days, wordsmithing scientific research papers by researchers who don't know how to put two words together. I'm a full-fledged working stiff. For the gubment, no less.

Great.

Kloriel 05.01.2009 11:37 AM

No. No. No.

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 11:38 AM

I think I'm going to drink brown liquor and watch The Mighty Boosh tonight.

I'm making a lunch run to Greenlife soon and also planning on picking up my Friday night drink supply. But I can't decide if I want some good beer or a nice medium-priced wine. Maybe I should do an SY poll?

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 11:41 AM

Normally its beer, but Chris suggested a bottle of rum, which I haven't drank in a while. He is planning on picking it up on his lunch break, so I don't have to worry about it.

"Estute" is not a word. At least not in English.

NaiveMelody 05.01.2009 11:41 AM

But to help with your connundrum, what beer and what kind of wine?

I love good beer. But I also like a good Shiraz.
