Has anyone checked out their new album Primary Colours? I kinda had a grudge towards these guys but I have to admit I really like their new material.

The Horrors should annoy me a lot more than they do.

However, they do a pretty good Birthday Party impression.

I like what I've heard, and if people come on here to talk shit about them it wouldn't be the first or last band I've been into that a lot of SY fans seem to hate. I don't have any of thier albums yet but I've heard songs online and like them.

I'm not quite sure what I think of the song, aside from that it's a big step up from what they did before.

The new album is excellent, a bit derivative of MBV and The Chameleons, but excellent.

i can take them or leave them. i have their first album and think i listened to it maybe twice. It wasn't terrible or anything but I had no real desire to check them out any further.

That track is definitely better than most NME-hyped shite. Interesting progression they've made.

I bought their frist album and I can't remember why. Not that I don't like it, some songs were pretty good, I just don't know why I'd buy something like that. That Sea Within a Sea song is quite good, probably better than anything from their first album.

I've heard one of the new songs and I liked it.

quite nice songs, great improvement from first record.
remind me of Max Werner and La Bionda, but more rock-ish obviously.

i have been listening the holy shit out of primary colours over the last two days. i think it's briliant, especially the track primary colours and do you remember.

in fact, it's because of this album that i discovered my bloody valentine.

I like them quite a lot, even more so with hearing their new album.
And they were responsible for me looking into a lot of other bands that I probably wouldn't have bothered with otherwise, Sonic Youth being one of them.

i don't hear the Chameleons in their sound.

i saw 'em last week when they opened for The Kills. not too bad, but still needs a bit of tightening.

just watched them on bbc3 at reading and they were immense. brilliant performance (shit singing though)

Strange house was a freaking mess but still I loved it. The new album is great as well.
