Seriously...I wish I could honestly describe in words what tonight meant to me... I have been a very sparse poster and avid reader of these forums for nearly 5-6 years, and have seen several fellow Oklahomans come and go, all wondering like me why you guys have not played here in so long. The asnwers are obvious, it is Oklahoma...

I have been going to shows at the Cain's Ballroom for 11+ years, and it has easily become my favorite venue to see any show at. Tonight you guys fulfilled a seriously LOOOONG-running fantasy of mine, and I (and I am sure many, many others) sure as hell damn well appreciate it. I hope you all had a good time playing at our historic venue, and will consider it another stop on any forthcoming tours. Seeing my favorite band at my favorite venue tonight is something I will never, never forget...I do feel sorry for some of the areas left out on this tour, but it is about time we got our chance...

Sorry for the sappy sentiment...it just meant that damn much!

For all of you that like highlights and rundowns...this is gonna suck for you...but best I can do after a long drive and sleep deprivation....

Basically, most of new album minus a few tracks...Schizo, 100%, Eric's Trip, Pattern Rec, PCH, Brother James, and last but certainly not least...SHAKING HELL!!! (of course not in this order...but best you are gonna get from me right now!)

...ok, fan forever, but first time to see them live...unbelievable...I can die happy now...I'm glad peterpuff filled in some of the blanks of what I remember on the set...they opened with incinerate and followed with schizo...they most definitely still have that edge...a red letter day for me...

...doors were open at 7, and on my arrival around 7:30 I was a bit concerned...for the first time in my life I parked right right at the front door of cains...I began wondering why I showed up so early, given the late start of the last 2 shows I saw here...I did want to see awesome color, though...their myspace tunes hooked me......I figured they would start around 9, but they came on at 8, gotta be the earliest I have seen a show start there...the drummer is unreal, the music is wonderfully twisted...one of those songs had to be in 12/8 time...my guess is sy started around 9 until around 1030...

No. I have to be 18 to go in, and 16 to watch just the music performance from outside. I'm only 15...

My ticket says doors at 8, so that probably means Awesome Color will be at 9. There's a Man Man show right after this, like at 11 30 @ walter's, so that's also why i'd like to know how long the performance has been.

Have you (or anyone else for that matter) ever been to Warehouse Live?

I saw dinosaur jr at warehouse live. It is a very good pce to see a show.
the stage is big, the sound system is LOUD, dinosaur fucking tore me a new asshole, and the place is clean. there are attendants in the men's room! There are people that come around sweeping butts and cups and shit off the floor at regular intervals! they ahve a smaller venue right next to it, where I saw TV ON THE RADIO, and that is a cool venue as well!!!!

The dudes from awesome color say they go on stage at 8:00pm. doors open at 7:00pm.

By the way, you should check out man man, 5 bucks w/ sonic youth stub. They say they go on at 11 30 and they put on an amazingly raucus show.

PeterPuff and stvpttrsn I totally feel similar to what you expressed. When a band I love comes through Oklahoma I feel like they are doing us a favor since we are far out of the way and all. But they are having a big impact when they come here, I feel like some of that red dirt washed off my back from that show. It doubtless inspires people to see these great artists like SY come out here and perform. I feel totally sentimental and thankful.

The setlists are snowballing and becoming more and more awesome! Fuck, I can't wait. 5 days until the Denver show!
