What next?
 

Having heard The Eternal, I'm wondering what SY album I should pick up next. The only other two I even know of are Daydream Nation and Dirty, haha! I'm looking for something a little heavier than The Eternal, but is still accessible.

Dirty if you want accessible, Daydream if you want amazing, Bad Moon Rising if you want to wonder how the same band (basically) made The Eternal

Sister is great but not heavier than The Eternal (depends how you mean heavy though). I'd say Dirty for heavy guitars and accessibility, but many will disagree i'm sure. Definitely get Daydream Nation though.

I know Steve only has one verse on the whole album but it has to be one of the best in the group's history. I mean, what a sick fucker.

You should check out Sonic Nurse. Not exactly "heavier" but a logical progression from where you are to hopefully going further back next.

Yeah, Nurse, Dirty and Goo.

Sister don't have heavy sound but guitar riffs are quite heavy. Goo also has heavy guitar riffs and Dirty of course but it' already said in here.

The drumming from Stereo Sanctity are heavier than 85% of hardcore punk.

Dirty is a good choice. Some great songs on that record, and a wide variety of styles.

its definately one of their more accessible ones, without being one of the straighter ones.
with a lil bit of luck it will open up your mind for the strange sides too, and you will discover a whole new world of music.
give it a try, even if this wont happen its still one of the greatest pieces of music ever made.

same for me, its like falling in love again. honeymooning for the second time with the long loved wife.

You might as well go with Rather Ripped next and work your way to the EP. I think that would be neat to start at a band's newest release and slowly dig through the years.

I'm not the greatest Rather Ripped fan, but after hearing The Eternal I think I understand it better. Give it a shot.
