I don't pay attention to lyrics (since they're almost always shit, in any band), unless they're produced by true poets like Don Van Vliet, Sterling Smith, or Mark E. Smith. Maybe another reason I like listening to Japanese music... don't have to focus so much on the awful lyrics. (though, I've read some translations and guess what? Japanese bands really like to talk about the sexual politics of seducing 13 year old schoolgirls with opium!)

Hey man, I like me a little Hole no question. Big deal? The reason you suck, just so you know, is because you're constantly bitching about yourself and how depressed you are, yet at the same time sort of brag in a really obvious woe-is-me fashion. Your experimental vids are cool though. But you're right that I should relax... I haven't been able to do that much lately what with the cancer scare and all.

Hey, since you're a newbie -- and I don't mean this in a condescending way, but I feel like you probably don't understand my sense of humor. It's very particular. My constant joking about my own death is just my way of coping with the problems I have. I've never whined about my problems, though I have talked about them with the utmost honesty. And it's always when people ask me. I don't think I've went out of my way to start threads about hating my life, I'm usually provoked with things like, "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Also, I've never bragged, as I don't really feel proud of anything I've done except for an album I made earlier this year that no one paid any attention to. Self-deppreciation is what I'm all about, and I don't take anything seriously either.

Hm well, I AM an asshole a lot of the time, pure and simple. I can't really be too shocked when people don't appreciate my bluntness and rudeness. But anyway, if you want to feel better physically, do some exercise. It changed my life when I started to do that. Even pushups and situps and stuff. Get creative. You can do some really intense pushups if you do a handstand against a wall once regular ones get boring and there are about a billion different little things you can do to shake it up. Or buy some free weights at a garage sale. And if you can find a YMCA or something with a gym that you can use for free, it is awesome. It's a natural high, especially if you like a little pain.
