mtv's amp

Anyone remember that show from 1997, MTV's "AMP"? It came on at 2:00 in the morning or something ridiculous, and it was nothing but electronic music. It ruled. Anyway, someone's uploading episodes of it on youtube, and that thrills me to no end.

the last i recall was the early 90s-- beavis+ butthead, aeon flux, daria... then it all became "reality" shit -- vomit---

notyourfiend 09.11.2009 09:35 AM

^ daria lasted from 97 - 02

i'm younger than many of you folks it seems. i remember getting a lecture in kindergarten 1rst grade about how beevis and butthead preformed stunts that were inappropriate and which we should not try to emulate.

The computer cannot create music on its own; it needs people with imagination to envision the music before they can program it to play what they want to hear. True, a laptop isn't a musical instrument in and of itself, but that doesn't mean you can't make music with it. Pneumatic drills and chainsaws aren't musical instruments either, but try and tell Einstruzende Neubauten and Jackyl that.

Quit being a douchebag.
