I had a Dick Tracy-themed fifth birthday.

I was also into the Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Star Wars.

I had a Teddy Ruxpin that wouldnt turn off...even after taking out the casette out of his overalls, and the batteries out of his back, he wouldnt stop talking. It sucked so much, finally once in the middle of the night I rejected him to my parents bedroom to deal with, cuz he was done being in my room.

tw2113 10.27.2009 11:27 PM

My brother and I both got a puppet version of My Pet Monster, I miss them and wonder what happened to them...as well as my Snake Eyes GIJoe from the time.

Inhuman 10.27.2009 11:35 PM

MIGHTY MAX! When I was little I would spend countless minutes trying to hold the logo in the right spot to try and turn into a monster. My brother and I were thoroughly convinced that we "just weren't holding it properly"

Yakbak's

Yup, dont forget the yellow cap that turned into a preying mantis and the ghostbuster equivilant of a dollhouse that had a grating at the top ud pour slime into and it would pour down thru the whole house...rreally..a stupid toy...it would ruin it..unless u wanted to intensely wash the thing....

then do it again...haha

Anngella 10.28.2009 12:33 AM

Satan - I had the same Barbie but it was pink.

Tons and tons of other Barbie shit, too.
Like 7 Spice Girls posters.
Legos.

atsonicpark 10.28.2009 02:33 AM

I still have the same stuff... Power Rangers, Turtles, etc.

In fact, I probably like it more now than I did when I was a kid.

I am convinced that my adult life is just me trying to replicate the innocence of being a child.

errrrr, I didn't have that many toys. That's why I loved to visit my friends houses, who were actually allowed/could afford brightly coloured plastic things.

at home I played in the dirt and drew a lot. so art supplies and chalk.

At my friends houses I quite enjoyed my little pony and pollypocket stuff.

Something similar to that

I had one of the first GI Joes made, back when they were barbie doll sized. I got the Air Force jet pilot.

I had a lot of gear based on the Combat! TV shoe--toy rifle and pistol, helmet, canteen, etc.

Tons of DC and Marvel comic books--bought these almost weekly from around 66 to 70. They all died when my parents' basement flooded!

Huge amounts of baseball cards from the same period, and these too met the same fate as the comic books.

The Man from UNCLE TV series paperback novel tie-ins. I still have the whole collection, even multiple copies. Also the series' pulp digest, about 10 issues. And a couple of Girl from UNCLE paperbacks. I still have all that shit.

A lot of model cars.

gmku 10.28.2009 08:56 AM

Thanks for the warning.
