How was your day?
My day, wasn't the best, but it was much better because I still have some left over goodness from Saturday's awesome secret show.
Anyway I woke up at 6:20, 20 minutes later than I would have liked, and quickly got ready for summer school. I spent 4 hours and 40 minutes doing a whole chapter of chemistry. Fun, right? I can't believe I'm doing this by choice. After school my sister, her boyfriend picked me up and we went to Carls Jr. I had a double western bacon cheeseburger. It was poorly put together, and was a mess. We came home, and an hour and a half later, I went to work. I work for my dad's friend's video company. He video tapes graduations and such. When we got there he talked to me about and showed me the video of a radical prostocposyasdfasf (a surgury he taped of some guy getting his prostate removed). I spent 4 hours editing a graduation, and I washed his car. I spent an extra 40 minutes showing him and his wife pictures from the SY show, plus pictures from Coachella and Street Scene 2005. I got home around 8. Ate some dinner, got on the board, and typed this up. Now I have to go finish 2 labs for chem. Not a bad day. I've had better. How was your day? |
My day has been dandy!
Actually, it's been a borefest. But that's alright. I went out to eat tonight, excellent Indian food. |
Boring.
|
Actually my day has been going pretty well. Most of the month has sucked so far, and the last couple days have gotten a lot better. I worked all day, but my ex-girlfriend and I are on pretty good terms again, and the show of course on Saturday, so I'm enjoying life now. Also, we have sausage and pepperoni Hot Pockets. Hell yes.
Bad days happen, and usually they're completely random. Just gotta look forward to the fact that good days are always coming. |
Okay now I am really leaving. I want to got bed in half an hour (so that means I'll get to bed in 1 hour) so I can get up at 6 again tomorrow. And I have to finish that homework, and hopefully squeeze in a chapter of that shitty book the Good Earth.
Good bye. |

Thurston actually looks better with his shirt off for real.
My day was splendoriffic. Except I almost threw up at work. |
My day was great until JUST NOW when I saw that explosions in the sky will be playing a show september 2nd at the bowery ballroom when i just happen to be fucking lucky enough to be forced to go to the shore for labor day weekend. And then mono the next day. AND gang gang dance on that same fucking day. Dammit.
|
I got bitten by some bug and now my arm looks like a junkie's arm. Which is so fucking cool. Other than that my day was dull.
|
yesterday was ok,
i got quite a good day at work, then went home and got drunk with my roommate. nothing special, but allright. |
today i got up at 7.45, 45 minutes later than i should have and went to work. i work in an art shop that sells prints and canvases of famous paintings and also frames etc.
later im going to see my friend in hospital, she had her appendix out after it exploded. |
I also woke up late. I stayed up too late last night listening to my Television-Adventure LP and trying to load images to photobucket on my slowasfuckinghell fuckedupworthlesspieceofcrap Dell home computer.
Macs all the way, from now on. |

mmmm, i have a mac, its a Blue G3, but all the insides are from a G5, i got it all changed last year but kept the outsides as its pretter than the new ones, i dont know how people can use other computers they are so backwards and stupid! |
Yeah, you know, I never thought there was a difference, until I started using them at work (I'm an editor, work with designers, who swear by them). But they seem much more reliable and easier to use.

oh they are, i use them at art college because they have better programs etc, so i never ever use any other compuer systems now i always use Apple Macs. i feel sorry for the other kids who are so used to Micosoft computers, they always spend hours trying to figure out how to work the apple macs and get really frustrated. |
Funny. Yeah. I've noticed it in my profession, too. Mac users are much less stressed about their work whereas sometimes a PC user will go, well, I dunno, I'm not sure we can do that, or it might take a while. It's true!

Woke up sometime in the morning only to find out I didn't get in the school I applied to earlier this year. It would've required 31,5 points (out of 41) and I had 30. God damnit, motherfucking... Apparently I did some major fuck ups during the entrance exam.
This day's been fucking vexatious, as my life will be from now on I fear. On a brigher sidenote: Today I bought a Circle album that's been sold out for some time already. I can't really afford purchasing records but today I can blame my unstable, hate-infested mind. Oh yes. |
you mean Drill for Absentee - "Circle"?
Cause I got that one at home and know it's been out print for some time |

No, I was talking about a different band. The group's name is Circle and the album I got is called Empire. |
Had kind of an embarrassing moment yesterday. Due to my own ignorance.
Apparently everyone in the world but me knows who Brian Peppers is. So here's the thing. I like to decorate my work space in band art--posters, those old CD cardboard covers, etc. I've been collecting local band posters and putting some of those up, too. There's a band in town who included a screenprint rendition of Peppers on their poster with the tagline, "I'm a Peppers." I unthinkingly tacked it up in my office, never thinking to check what this is actually all about, just thinking it was really weird and ugly and a perfect addition to my collection. My boss comes in at the end of the day and doesn't tell me to take it down, just says that you know, that's a really disturbing poster, and advises that I google Brian Peppers. Good Lord. Now I feel like an idiot. I've taken it down and replaced it with my Sleater-Kinney LP poster. |
stayed up all night, and woke up to find that i got a nice new username and avatar (which i can't even see, the joys of firefox).

i learnt beam analysis software in computer lab today and learned about particular solutions for differential equations... Uhmm, had peanut butter sandwiches. Watched V for Vendetta on my iPod on the ride home... OK day... thanx 4 asking... :) and scuzzyanalbroom is a kool name....
|
Okay. New posters on the wall. Sleater-Kinney from my One Beat LP. And my Kim stencil poster (repeated screens like Andy Warhol) on sketch pad paper.
|
Yesterday sucked balls.
Woke up at 8 to catch a plane back to Florida. Stayed with my cousin and his friends for most of the day until my mom picked me up. I was sick the whole day and I feel even worse this morning. Today I'm doing nothing. At all. |
Besides the heat index nearing 105 and mowing and trimming hedges due, it wasn't that bad of a day.
