i got into the unicorns and DFA1979 at the same time, the unicorns completely broke up in late 2004, and now DFA1979. i was more sad about the unicorns as i liked them alot more, but this is still a shame.

two of the unicorns are now in Islands (except now its only one of the unicorns, cos J'aime Tambour left)

mm, i know i was going to go see Islands, but i had to go to a funeral instead.

i saw them when the opened for Metric. they were a heck of a lot of fun.

i used to have the biggest crush on Nicholas Diamonds. :)

i still do;) hahaha. his bowl cut is hilarious. but he is one of the few that can pull it off.

I saw them open for Queens of the Stone Age last year, so I could see that being incorporated...

Otherwise, bummer. They were pretty cool.

i read on wikipedia (QOTSA page) that Jesse himself said he will be playing on the album, and more than likely touring with them. theres a radio link from that, with the apparent quote. (i couldn't listen to it, it wouldn't play through, can some one listen to it and tell me if it says this?)

exactly my thoughts. i kinda wish the remix lp was better.i thought they were doing a new album!!! apparently they havent done squat aside from other projects

i blame MSTRKRFT, although they sweet when i went to go see them dj.

for some reason i was dissapointed with Islands live, it was kind of slow and i expected more energy. the album is good though. but i still miss the unicorns. i don't really care much for DFA, i'm content with the material they left us with.

i'm glad they are breaking up, that way, they won't be able to fuck up.
i mean, where can they take their stuff? their new album was bound for disappointment.

I liked the band and I don't really mind that much that they spiltted but I just think It's stupid cause I was so fucking positive that they were going to be the next big thing... ah well bummer for them.
