True....good point.

Alex's Trip 08.15.2006 04:47 PM

I still haven't seen Teenage Riot live. I'd love to...

acousticrock87 08.15.2006 04:59 PM

Wish Fulfillment. It was posted here live. It was just a spontaneous performance, but technically it can be ressurected.

I'd love to hear anything off that CD, though. Androgynous Mind, maybe. In the Mind of the Bourgeoisie Reader would be good live.

greenlight 08.15.2006 05:37 PM

washing machine material and some instrumental long tracks like the good and the bad for example. that would be cool.

mushmanski57@hotmail.com 08.15.2006 05:55 PM

Rain King
Washing Machine
Heather Angel
Saucer-Like
THE DIAMOND SEA
Rain On Tin (I wish I could see it live)
'Cross The Breeze

Are you guys just talking songs they haven't done on the current tour? 'Cause I'm pretty much positive they did "White Kross" when I saw them in '04. They headlined the Goose Island street fest here in Chicago and they did a couple "Sister" songs. One was "Catholic Block" and I'm pretty sure the other was "White Kross". As far as songs I myself would like to see goes, anything off "A Thousand Leaves" would be awesome and of course "Diamond Sea"!

Yeah I really wasn't sure when the last time they played White Kross was, I've just never seen them play it live and it's one of my favs.

fluxequalsrad 08.16.2006 12:09 PM

with Jim they played a couple of sweet oldies every now and then, including:

white kross
catholic block (now a staple)
candle
kotton krown (!!!)
Silver Rocket
PCH
Total Trash (apparently, I just heard so)
She is not alone
Burning Spear
Shadow of a Doubt
Kissability
Kill yr. Idols
Inhuman

all of these songs have been played in the last 4 years.

I'd like to see some more SY confidence in their 90's material, ..maybe

Saucer-Like
Diamond Sea
Theresa's Sound World
Female Mechanic
Wildflower soul
Washing Machine
Winner's Blues ( i know, never happened)
Sweet Shine

maggot brain 08.16.2006 12:14 PM

have they ever played in the kingdom #19 live?

sonikjuice 08.16.2006 12:33 PM

They may not have. I think Mike Watt plays on this song and the bass is rather complex.

Starpower and Tunic are 2 Kim songs that would absolutely KILL live!!

lunberg 08.18.2006 10:38 AM

Theresas's sound world

The Sprawl

The dripping dream (I have never heard this song live) !!!!

They should play Unwind and Karen Koltrane too.

toxic johnny 08.18.2006 10:55 AM

Not so much a resurrection more like a twin birth... Helen Lundeberg + Eyeliner.

Also Flower, Halloween, (She's In A) Bad Mood, Small Flowers Crack Concrete, Satan Is Boring, Touch Me I'm Sick, I Dreamed, I Dream, Ghost Bitch, Green Light, Female Mechanic Now On Duty and StreamXSonic Subway could all do with a dusting off.

fluxequalsrad 08.18.2006 01:18 PM

dripping dream definately should have been played more during the nurse tour. There was a couple of songs on that album that got played like...every night (dude ranch nurse, mariah carey) that Dripping Dream totally owned.

Peace Attack totally didn't get played enough either. Would have beeen a perfect closer every night.

lunberg 08.18.2006 02:51 PM

Dude ranch nurse got played once every two shows at the most, but I agree the Dripping dream owns DDN though I like both.
Peace attack is a truly great song but they can't play it know since Jim's gone and I doubt Kim will want to handle Jim's guitar lines.

Bal 08.18.2006 05:41 PM

marylin moore with 10 minutes noise jam in the middle!
thats what id like to see live.
or sweetshine.

blackblack 08.18.2006 11:28 PM

bad moon rising stuff would be pretty cool.

acousticrock87 08.18.2006 11:32 PM

StreamXsonic Subway

The Hammered 08.18.2006 11:38 PM

I'd kill to hear Bad Mood, I Wanna Be Your Dog or the Ramones encore performed live. Thankfully, once, I pick up Hold That Tiger (and get my Confusion CD back), I'll have live recordings of all of them. It's not the same, of course, but it's something.

The other songs from the first EP, Stereo Sanctity and Pipeline/Kill Time would all be great as well.

Also, I know it's still in their sets, but I still hope I'll get to see them perform Brother James some time.

Cantankerous 08.18.2006 11:40 PM

i think they should do a cover of "orphans" (teenage jesus and the jerks) to scare off all the little YYY fuckers.

touch me i'm sick 08.18.2006 11:41 PM

hahha

Cantankerous 08.18.2006 11:42 PM

it probably wouldn't work, they would be too immersed in a conversation about xiu xiu to take notice.

I'll probably just make you mad by saying this, but Rain On Tin was awesome live.

Alex's Trip 08.19.2006 01:40 AM

Still haven't seen that or Teenage Riot. But hey, I've only seen them twice.

Isn't it weird, how you were at both of the shows that I went to, and we didn't even meet each other, but you somehow met my mom?

Alex's Trip 08.19.2006 01:50 AM

I didn't go to Arthurfest. My dad didn't want to do a festival, so when we found out about the HOB show, we went to that. But just as well, I heard that the mixing was terrible.

Haha, I think I have that paper lost somewhere in my room. If it turns up, I'll post - I mean toss it out.
