i try to help out people that I know are depreseed and stuff. I have a soft spot for people who seek help...not that I can always help them out, but I keep on trying.

I think about donating money quite a fair bit

I think some of my morbidity and darker tendencies relate to my living in rainy old PA in a big scary old house.

I also don't always emphasize questions, which I get from pennsyvlanian accents. In other words, my questions sound like they end in periods half the time.

i don't think i contribute anything. apparently i bring out people's lazy sides, but i see that as more of a detraction.

i think i contribute a lot more to myself than to my surroundings. i spend a lot of time thinking about doing things instead of actually doing them. one thing i don't ever think of or do is cleaning.

I release recordings to the world to ignore or adore at will, and once a year I help put on a damn fine days-long festival of my area's more interesting and underrated musical artists. I guess I also give a great deal of patronage to small businesses with character that cater to people with esoteric tastes, which helps them stay in business and keeps our town interesting. Not a lot, but it's something I guess.

Aw, come on. Vanity can be great! It keeps people from smelling bad and looking disheveled and filthy. If you're particularly attractive, a certain amount of vanity can even be viewed as a public service.
One can be vain without being conceited. I maintain these two things are quite different.

I am definitely vain, but the areas in which it could be argued I am a bit conceited are most definitely not based on my looks.

working as a human clotheshorse for four years either completely eradicated my levels of conceit or boosted them to infinity, i can't tell.
