Favorite Sonic LP to blaze to?
Any of them will do the trick, but I can't get enough of Washing Machine when I'm blunted. That shit sounds immense.
|
ATL, Nurse, Bad Moon Rising.
|
Any of them. For me at least. There's always shit that'll blow yer mind.
|
oh man, agreed on nurse. there's so much crystalline fret burnin' going on. best tour i ever saw them on, but it was before i smoked. i can't even imagine how orgasmic it would've been if i'd sparked one up.
|
NYCG&F, you don't even need to be stoned..it's the awesomeness..
|
Me and my friends did acid to bad moon rising once and didn't end well. I like listening to Murray Street when blazed, especially Rain on Tin.

What Christmas music?
Hey there i need help. I am trying to find good christmas music that isn't the typical songs you hear everywhere. Ideas? Thoughts? Someone?

All Of Them. At The Same Time.

The indie rock standard for Christmas albums is 'Christmas' by Low. It's an incredibly beautiful Christmas album. I would also look into 'Christmas A Go-Go' compiled by Little Steven Van Zandt. 'Hillbilly Holiday' is great if you like the vintage country vibe. Check out 'The Ventures Christmas Album' by The Ventures for a vintage surf twang Christmas! |
True aswell..though
One album that I came really close to after being "had a few beers and now I feel great and really relaxed"-mood is Sister. I never got into it before until one day when I really "found" it. Me and some friends had jammed some music a cold winternight, we drank a few beers, put some candles on and listened to it and we almost felt asleep. That's the way to enjoy an album. It was PERFECT. |
I don't blaze, but Oxycodone and Murray Street are beautiful when paired
|
I remember crying from hearing the beauty of "The Diamond Sea" while blazed. It was like a divine, religious experience.
|
Sister.
|
All of them.

Sorry, but I can't help but laugh hearing this. Were you balling or just tearin' up? |
I took a bunch of mushrooms and acid and listened to Sister once.
I don't recommend it. |
Washing Machine for me!
|
I forget... ;)

I can't think of a more chill album to spark one to than Murray Street. The vibe is positive throughout. Pretty much the only SY album that can be said about. There are no dark moments (except maybe Plastic Sun), and the whole thing shimmers with a bright vibrant clarity. Plus it's just chill as hell, like a Grateful Dead album, or even something by a modern jam band.

"That shit" sounds immense when you're not "blunted", you fucking dope fiend. |
A thousand leaves is easily my favourite SY album to blaze too. I always get tripped out during the chaotic middle section of Karen Koltrane.
|
Keeping It Simple, I'm not a dope fiend, man. Sure I have dreads and no job but I'm just all about the positive vibes, brah. My jam band just plays sick positive vibe-laden shows in our compound our bass player's parents pay for... it's far out.
