Weird. The week is like from 2 days ago to a week and 2 days ago though.

I think it would be more accurate and realistic, if they didn't base the statistics on the number of the songs you played by a certain artist, but on the duration of the songs. Some artists/bands have songs, that last fourty minutes and longer, whereas other artists/bands have very short songs (under a minute). But I don't know, if this is technically realizable anyway.

but it's absolutely incomplete, I listen mostly to lossless audio (flac, shn) and those don't count in last.fm
Now it says Bill Frisell is my overall top artist, which he ain't, I just listened to his one CD I have of him a couple of times, which I tend to do once every 5 years.

I challenge everyone to take a listen to the Raggende Manne though, great Dutch band from the nineties. You won't understand what they're saying, but it's so much fun!

i listen to most of my music on my ipod while i ride my bike, though, and have yet to find a decent ipod scrobbler.

Difficult to explain... When you listen to music on your computer or your iPod, a plugin gets tracks you listen to, and then creates statistics with it (artists you listen the most, tracks you listen the most, etc). You can also tag the music (put a category), and then it'll create statistics with the music.

Then, after a time, the program find people that have similar tastes, recommand you bands that you should like, creates you a personnal radio, things like that...



A last.fm group mainly allows to have statistics for a group of people, but you have to be at least 15 people in the group to have statistics...

i use an old version of winamp that doesn't support this... so I downloaded a new shitty version just so support this and then I was on it for a few weeks and realized that I wasn't really getting any reccomendations worth having, so I downgraded to the old version of winamp.

though you all should post on last.fm/Music/Scissor+Shock

I flirted with this page a lot, checking out band profiles like omoide hatoba's and beefheart's pages for other music reccomendations, but I find that I've already heard all the similiar artists.

It's a pretty cool site but it's not anywhere near as exciting as I thought it'd be.
