been quite obsessed with the show lately.. the first two seasons are easily the best.
Effy & Cook are basically the only reason i keep watching seasons 3-4 atm. still good shit though.

Season 6 recently started (Ep. 1 was aired this monday).

Much of it was shot near my old house - by which I mean, I watched some of the filming from my bedroom window. You're right, it's shit. We need to up our game.

After watching it the first time and wishing everyone involved would starve to death in a hole made of turds, I kept hearing people say "its not shit anymore, it ends up dealing with some really serious issues in a really serious way".

I preferred it when it was just a bunch of horrible teenagers being horrible teenagers, at least then it knew what it was; I could stay away from it, and it could stay away from me. Once it started trying to be all serious to make you think it was actually morally respectable it became much more sinister, like a paedophile disguised as Sir David Attenborough.

I like other Uk tv stuff.

I seldom like teenagers the way they're represented on TV or the media in general, much more so in the UK, so I never bothered watching it.

I find the way teens are represented in most medias to be too square.

The sinister thing is true becaue when I watch this sort of stuff I'm always left with the feeling that it's coming from the perception of someone who is enamoured with the idea of being a teenager and is now too old. Or simply fancies the freshest meat this side of semi-legality.

I watched the first four seasons a couple of weeks ago. I saw the pilot without knowing anything except that it's a teen drama (two words that make me reach my revolver, because I keep thinking of dawson's creek or some equivalent atrocity). However, I got pretty hooked on it. Not necessarily the best thing ever but good for procrastionation. Yr right about cassie's cuteness.

Now, I haven't owned a television in about six years and Have no idea of what's what these days in the tv-world, but in general:
american drama = fat, ugly and dumb
british drama = tolerable

Anyone watched the american version? It stinks so baaad.

fuckit, season6 is the fucking 10th circle of hell, the writers are getting more and more sadistic with their poor characters, as if getting them raped or brain dead on a regular basis wasn't enough. no fun! watching this is like eating glass. just watched the nick episode and i'm ready for puking, for fucks sakes

I like the 3rd generation a lot! Season 6 has been really awesome sofar.
Episode 8 is aired tonight and on tpb soon hopefully!

i dont know how you can stand the cruelty that the writers inflict upon these poor characters, the depth of their abysmal depressions, their unconsolable despair, but sure, enjoy if you can.

Well yeah I agree, it's been a VERY dark season. I'd like to see more partying and get more personal with each carachter like the first generation but I love the carachters and so on, I don't mind it at all.
