Harrowing albums.
There are a couple of albums that I don't really listen to...I just kinda experience them. The First Throwing Muses album, and "Heavens to Betsy's Calculated" album. I am just now getting into Xiu Xiu, and they are pretty intense.
Any more recommendations? The more intense the pain the better. |
you want pain?Take more drugs.

The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers is lyrically heavy. And ive read it described as Joy Division Meets Big Black. So dig in.

Johnny Cashs 'A hundred highways' is a fucking hard listen. I agree with the Daniel Johnston one too.
Massive Attacks 'Mezzanine' album is a pretty bleak offering. |

LPD are not goth. Just because goth types like them does not mean they aren't a weirdo psychedelic band.
I think a lot of the time they sound an awful lot like Gong. Comus are a fucking folk group from the 60s, for god's sake. |
