I like tofu any old how. But its especially nice marinated (spelling?) with rice noodles and vegetables. etc etc.

Yes! I had Pad Thai tofu and noodles today for lunch. It was fantastic.

i have been eating alot of thai food lately, and i have been getting a side order of golden triangle fried tofu with sweet and sour dripping sauce along with my pad thai everytime i get carryout

I never buy it to prepare myself, but I like it when its prepared well in various dishes. There is this one item that I had at PF Changs. I think it was coconut curry vegetables and tofu. That was pretty good.

I could do with a "sometimes" option. I've never managed to cook anything I liked with plain tofu, but you can get ready-marinated tofu in the UK and it's fantastic in a stir-fry.

If anyone has a good recipe for plain tofu (or even just a good marinade) that they'd like to share with me, I'll be only too pleased to try it.

The finest tofu is to be had with noodles in a Thai restaurant. The Thais know how to cook tofu to perfection, in my experience.

tofu has practically no taste, so it depends on the cooking. i love tofu dishes from hippy fake egg salad to "ma po tofu". my favorite version is an idnonesian one where the tofu cubes are fried in sesame oil with ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce & other wonders. yum...

too much soya though increases your estrogen levels, so keep your manboobs in check by limiting intake to a reasonable level. if you are a postmenopausal woman, though, it may help you avoid hot flashes. :D

Depending on how it is cooked, and served (obviously). Its OK. But if we're talking Thai the chili is where its at.

If it weren't bad enough that Tofu looks and tastes like death rolled up into little balls of Nazi-hate, it's the fact that Tofu represents all that is sandal-wearing, non-washing, stinking, quasi-fascist and plain hippy about this world. You're all off my Christmas card list. Apart from Cantankerous, but that's only because she has young, firm, non-hippy breasts (I imagine).

I love it. You can make it taste like whatever the hell you want so the only reason not to like it is the texture, which I don't mind at all.
