New York City
Diverse cultural heaven, seedy drug den, or shallow heartless yuppie hell?
Is it really so scary? Is it really so big? Does anyone know? If I released polar bears on the streets would people be scared? Or would the polar bears become pennyless addicts that are spit on by rich cunts with louis vutton purses? In short: if you live there tell me what you like. |
scary if you fear heartless yuppies-- particularly in manhattan. having a starbucks in every corner cannot be good for the soul.
I never been there, but I know that I want to move there eventually. Even if it is a druggy place, and cold people, and so forth. Every major city is practically the same. Cold people, and so forth.
And what about the bears?
no no-- manhattan is no longer what it was
Bears? I see no bears, I don't know what you mean by bears.
![]() Here is a sad polar bear that never quite made it on the mean streets of new york. He spends all his money on smack, and has to resort to dumpster diving for his shitty nourishment. :( |
oh. that!
Well, that's what happens when bears don't make it in NEW YORK CITY like they say "if you could make it in New York you can make it anywhere", well this bear won't be able to make it anywhere.
im fucking moving there.
Do they really have sex in the city?
Yeah you know those porn shops you hear, they have tons of sweaty sex there.
i would kill to go to new york
times square is no longer what it used to be
oh, the stories i could tell, if i had no sense of shame! |
See this is why I should move to New York instead of San Francisco.
but that seedy times square from the early 90's no longer exists
now it's all disney and crap sure, the san francisco bathhouses are mostly closed now, for what i understand, but i suspect you'll still have more fun there. |
Yeah, but New York has What is it called over there where the fags meet? hmm well you know what I mean.
Pacmanhattan?

my times square experiences were of the hetero variety, so i couldn't tell you. if you want new york think brooklyn though. i dont know whe is the last time you were in manhattan, but my last visit was in march and i could see that the inexorable invasion of the yuppies only continues. queens, on the other hand: queens was cool, and you could still get a loaf of fresh bread for a buck and a quarter. and if you're thinking about photography schools in new york, try pestering chris habib, he is bound to know quite a bit on that subject... (don't email him though. he will hate you). |
Cool, I was thinking Brooklyn, but it still lightyears from now, before I actually move. So I have to decide later. Be back going to buy an ice cream from the liquor store in front of my apartment.
An ICE CREAM from the LIQUOR STORE in FRONT OF YOUR APARTMENT!
Sounds like you already live in a prime location my man. |
I really don't think I'd want to live in New York.
No this is the San Fernando Valley, it is in the suburb of L.A. it is not as fun quite plain if you ask me. I do get to be waken up every other day by gunshots, but not as much as I would like from a city.
Well I'm off it is friday and the night is fresh and I'm off somewhere later.
oh shit you already on the west coast i had forgotten or maybe i thought you were in louisiana ha ha ha
get the fuck out of california, put thousands of miles between you and your genetic sources, and definitely go to nueva york. your i.q. will raise instantaneously just because of the move. -- have fun- im still trying to work... |
parts of brooklyn are just as bad as manhattan. a lot of the manhattanites figured out they can move to park slope or cobble hill to breed.
i love manhattan though. |

Starbucks? |
my favorite city in the whole world.
new york people are alot less cold than say......any english city person you might meet.
i never went to nyc in the old days when it was whores and shootings. i wish i had. i really wish id checked out times square the way it was 15 years ago. today times square is one of my least favorite places. but nyc is great. if you are comparing it to before then you may have a different opinion, but im not. ive nothing to compare it too. i find the people nice. the yuppies are everywhere. theres a hell of a lot of starbucks there but i never had to go into one, and i notice more interesting people than boring yuppies. |
