Very odd of me thinking that,but the place just seems to be inhabited by idiots.Nothing to do with the war as that is a different thing alltogether.This is not even an anti-american thread either(enough of them now).It's just that the place doesn't seem to produce anything of any worth anymore.

i found america very strange but appealing. there are certain places that i woud never like to go and some that i really want to see again. LA was somewhere that i did not think i would like but was actually quite nice and somewhere i could go back to easily. where as chicago was one of the most boring places i have ever been.

being there really opened my eyes to a lot of things and destroyed a lot of illusions and preconceptions i had about the place. i was amazed at the way the homeless and mentaly where treated and the fact that there are so many of them. at least in england and germany there are some kind of organisations in place to take of them but in america it seemed there were none. the rich where very rich and the poor where very poor it seemed and the place felt as if it was on the verge of collapse somehow.

America is just like every other country. The victim of it's leaders. Let's hope things get a little more reasonable with the new congress/senate situation.

It's also such a huge country that it invites generalisations. On the whole, I've found coastal states to be pretty decent places. And, in fact, (though it's not a coastal state) Phoenix is completely brilliant.

Re things of worth. I understand but I think it's simply a fact of who cares about worth? In what sense? They're producing plenty, I reckon, though it's not news-worthy except for that thing. That war? Yeah that's about it.

50% of that country, probably more now, have been entirely misrepresented by their foreign politics. It's not a perfect nation, but neither's mine (UK).

I've been doing a lot of travelling between the UK and US. I really feel that, in terms of percentages, we are dead equal for idiots. USA just has a larger population!

I feel more chest hairs sprouting after looking at these. Those wheels are BIG, so that car had to be in AMERICA!

I simply couldn't find a record by an american band in my record collection therefore i took it on the whole nation.It rarely happens with japanese noise records as they seem more efficient at making themselves found.

the thing that really got me about america was the vastness of it and the scenery. taking a train through the rockies for eight hours and going through deserts and the grand canyon was simply breathtaking. america has lots of suprises. i didnt think las vegas would be any good but it was so much fun and going to the beach in LA for the first time was unbelievable.
