Did you manage to get a cam for this? I hope so. :) |

lucky bastard |

Nope, i had my hopes on a friend who attends art school, but he couldn't get his hands on camera's. My first SY gig since 2001 without videotaping it - will be weird :( Oh but just wait till next year ![]() my canon and I shall be crushing every possible gig. But damned did I wanted to document ATP (still heartbroke!) |
my computer admins are talking about how their wives got naked
pretty hillarious |
Bummer Jef! I'm still doubting if I should take my cam to state-x. It's nice to go to a fest and not film for once. Then again, I'll kick myself later, for not filming SY and DAU.
That Canon gives me a hard-on, by the way. ;) |

I would only bring your camera if you managed to get in the mediabox if there's one. I always find it hard taping like at paradiso and then mabey interfering with others. Especially with expensive camera's. |
Plus it is nice to just go and watch the gig. Weird enough I always have to check my footage afterwards to see how good the gig was. I'm always so preoccupied with taping that you actually miss out on some stuff, at least for me that is.
|
I know what you mean. I've missed many concerts because of filming.
I'll only film if it's possible to get up front. No interest in the mediabox at the back with all the twats. As for interfering with other filmers... They better keep out of MY way! ... :D |

What I meant was between the stage and the crowd. Where the potographers are. |

In that case, it would be mighty fine. No kids elbowing me, or crowd surfing past my lens. Do they have a mediabox at the state-x fest? |
Bardo Pond? I'm going tonight but it seems some of you have more details about tonight's schedule?
|
I wanted to see the first show, but I have classes 'till 8pm so I can't make it there. Going to the second show instead.
|
Both.
|

bad news,
i taped a filmed a bunch of songs yesterday: i had shaking hell and all the encores but tape was bad, no video, no sound. anyone know how to fix a ruined miniDV tape? think st wrong with the timecode... got some pics tho |
does someone know who the bassplayer was? my guess, it was the bassplayer of Pavement, but I'm not 100% shure!
If someone can recognize him tonight, please let me know! |

I thought they played hey joni instead of eric's trip as stated here? |

weird, must've been the emotions that misled me:)
I stood in front of Thurston:d |
they better play teeage riot in the hague....
|
Teenage riot totally made my day.
The first riffs made the hairs on my arm stand right up. |
Just got back from the second concert in Brussels (12/12). They played a very cool setlist if you ask me, alternating between the songs of Rather Ripped and the 'oldies'. I recall the opener Teenage riot, Skip tracer, PCH, Catholic block, 100% and Expressway to yr skull.
It's up to the ones that got the actual setlist to complete this info... |
whooo... catholic block... i really want that one in the hague...
but the first night in brussel was awesome... bardo pond blew me away... sonic youth was great after 3 songs... thanks for candle, but the sound was too quiet... reena and incinerate just aren't very good... eric's trip & rats were superior... give lee the mike! nice venue btw... only 2 euro's for grimbergen... in paradiso (amsterdam) they give you heineken, and that just is pee... |
