EJTANS taped over Sister master?!
 

someone told me this and that if you turn up experimental jetset you can hear Sister in the background. is this true?! i dont have a copy with me here at work.

Oh yeah, one can hear it, but was it truly the one and only master that was recorded over or not?

Maybe it was some other one they recorded over.

you can hear schizophrenia towards the end of winner's blues.

ok, i admit kinda like winner's blues... but mostly that album sucks. thank god they made washing machine after that...

jet set has good sounds but they didn't write enough good songs for it.

I love the entire album I can't believe how many people think it's shit.

I don't really think this is true. It IS there, but with all the editing and whatnot, Sister in it's entirety, with no gaps or jumps is pretty weird.

i know seriously ive never understood this in the 10+ years ive been listening to it. some people are such ingrates.

I like EJTNS, it was the first Youth album I bought (not listened too, bought) and yeah sure, some of the riffs and songs have an incomplete feel to them, but others are excellent. My favorites are Winner's Blues, Skink, Doctors Orders, and Sweet Shine. Far as the sister being heard,well I've never experienced that, and I probably could if I turned it up loud enough

what could possibly lead them to record over the sister master? a mistake? recklessness? thriftiness? wanting to look forward, not hold their past sacred? mota? seriously, why would they do something like that?

maybe when they mixed the album they recorded over a tape w/ a mix of sister on it? i'm just guessing, 'cuz see no good reason to do that...
