Perils of coffee?

So what are they?

val-holla-ing 12.20.2006 01:21 AM

i get a tummy ache and the jitters if i drink it on an empty stomach.

and they say it causes cancer and makes your teeth yellow.

HaydenAsche 12.20.2006 01:23 AM

Cancer? Yellow teeth?

The only reasons to smoke and drink coffee.

...And great reasons they are!

Inhuman 12.20.2006 01:26 AM

Coffee's great as a social thing. If you drink it in the morning's you start needing it to wake up, so rarely drink it despite it's delicious taste

Norma J 12.20.2006 01:28 AM

Coffee with soymilk is fabulous.

Inhuman 12.20.2006 01:32 AM

I've never tried it myself! I really enjoy drinking coffee black. You can taste the actual freshness of the coffee and it has a much more natural taste. Either way it's good though

Norma J 12.20.2006 01:33 AM

I've only started drinking it, after all this time.

HaydenAsche 12.20.2006 01:33 AM

Soy milk in coffee? I love Soy milk but I would never put anything in my coffee.

Norma J 12.20.2006 01:34 AM

Yes, soymilk in coffee. It's basically the reason I like coffee now.

HaydenAsche 12.20.2006 01:38 AM

Hmm. I occasionally put imitation-sugar in espresso if I'm drinking it straight.

golden child 12.20.2006 01:39 AM

gross! creamer is one thing, but soy milk?
dont get me wrong, i love soy milk but ive put it in coffee before and its fucking gross. worse than creamer or milk

Norma J 12.20.2006 01:42 AM

Milk is always disgusting. I have black tea, but have soymilk in coffee. Gives it a different taste.

jon boy 12.20.2006 05:42 AM

i find the innitial lift of coffee very nice and i like the flavour but i dont like the crash afterwards and the dehydration.

ALIEN ANAL 12.20.2006 06:24 AM

Watch out youll be gay before you know it :D
(if you dont get it, im refering to the soy milk)

caffeine is a drug...and jim carrey (as the riddler) says that it will kill you. you guys are worse than potheads, and 17x more high-strung. and you are responsible for the starbucks epidemic, so you're definitely going to hell.

ALIEN ANAL 12.20.2006 06:44 AM

i dont drink coffee i just drink tea

lucyrulesok 12.20.2006 08:20 AM

i quite like coffe but it makes your breath smell bad.

fishmonkey 12.20.2006 09:22 AM

Coffee has this whole stigma that makes me sick. i hides behind some laa de daa/drink of the hard working common folk image.. now dont get me wrong i love a cup in the morning to get me going but its a pile of shite really, between mocha and latte and cappachino and expresso, c'mon admit it.. its a load of pompus shite. cant beat a good cuppa tea either, i like coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon, is that tea in the afternoon you say?? rather... more tea vicar? Coffee also drives my hemmorroids scatty..

is that image not enough to turn you off coffee for life?

Prisstina 12.20.2006 09:48 AM

Perils of coffee? How about the fact it tastes like shit? Or that its become an image for teenage girls to worship Starbucks?

cuetzpalin 12.20.2006 10:04 AM

actually, there are none for me. coffee is definitely one of the greatest things in the whole world:D i drink only black coffee too - a tip for all black coffee addicts - try some coffee from africa, espicially kenyan is really tasty!
which coffee do you like most?

Iain 12.20.2006 10:24 AM

Coffee is rubbish compared to tea and it gives you bad guts.

tesla69 12.20.2006 10:25 AM

A well done espresso is a marvelous stimulant, and a rich capuccino or even latte is a delicious drink...not that fake shit from the Carlye Group's Dunkin Donuts or the sugarinfested Starbucks. BUt when the espresso comes out almost like a syrup, and the steamed foam is gently layered into the espresso, oh man that is good. A poseur is gonna be a poseur with or without his latte.

The Tasmanian Peaberry is supposed to have the highest levels of caffeine.

king_buzzo 12.20.2006 11:00 AM

i thought this said 'PENIS AND COFFEE'

against_the_grain 12.20.2006 11:56 AM

I like a HOT..rich, thick brew.....muddy with half and half and Turbinado brown sugar. I like various countries beans...Indonesian and African are my favorites. They actually do have differences in flavor from region to region and the roasting techniques. I like a dark roast, powerful and gripping.

I drink a couple of cups in the morning and rarely, but on occasion later in the day. I don't mind spending a few bucks on it as it's such a cherished pleasure. A good sugaree-ass donut goes well with my cuppa.

Famous nun-bun from my favorite coffee shop, Bongo Java, in Nashville.

The story ....

Hey !! I should add this to the .gif thread !!

The only peril I know is not being able to get your coffee fix.

Coffee has this whole stigma that I love. I love hiding behind some ladeda drink of the hard working common folk image. I love a cup in the morning to get me going and it's the most wonderful thing in the world to choose between mocha and latte and cappachino and expresso, come on, admit it.. It's a load of pompus shite, and I love it. It sure beats a good cuppa tea. I like coffee in the morning and coffee in the afternoon, is that coffee in the afternoon, you say?? If it were not for coffee, many things would never get done. Some of the greatest leaders in the world have gotten things done because of coffee. Coffee is for doers, tea is for slackers. Is that coffee in the afternoon, you say? Ja, ja, sehr gutt... more coffee, Mein Fuhrer? Coffee also makes my brain work better.

The 97th Hammer 12.20.2006 02:19 PM

I'm drinking a cup right now. I need to watch how much I have though so that I don't go into some sort of caffeine haze. I drank so much once that I felt like I was getting a caffeine hangover.

What's with certian people going on about Starbucks? I don't buy from Starbucks. I drink bottled water too, but I don't drink bottled water made by Coca-Cola.

Of course its the corporate thing. However, when no ma & pa coffee shops are around I go to Starbucks. Their coffee is better than 7-11 or truckstop brew.

I like to add contrast to the typical Starbuckster......

Norma J 12.20.2006 08:13 PM

Yeah, I know they were referring to capitalism. But I don't know why people relate coffee to Starbucks. It doesn't even come into my mind. I don't even consider buying from there.

I'm having a coffee now. Hmm hmm.

I never ever go to the place, it sickens me. Even if I wanted to, the prices are abso-fucking-lutely ridiculous.

Norma J 12.20.2006 08:22 PM

I rarely buy food out.

k-krack 12.20.2006 08:25 PM

I indulge too much... Though, me and a friend made a New Years resolution/pact to cut down significantly on fast-food/junk.

Norma J 12.20.2006 08:29 PM

If I buy food out, it's never junk/fast food.

But yes, you should cut back. Good for you, marn.

EMMAh 12.20.2006 09:42 PM

I drink coffee occasionally. A couple years ago I would drink insane amounts of coffee at a time and I'd take caffeine pills. What a loser I was...
I'm all about french vanillas.

Yeah, that's my trouble with it. I had to give it up years ago, though I still swoon at the smell. Thankfully, Hagen Daz coffee ice cream doesn't seem to hit me as hard. I've learned to love green tea though, and it probably helps my immune system and all that crap too.

against_the_grain 12.20.2006 11:35 PM

I can't stand liquor in my coffee......yuck !
