The Best Sonic Youth Song To Name A Band After...

With two words in it; two syllables in the first word and one syllable in the second word...

A bit specific I know... but those kinda band names sound the best and are most memorable... believe me I know... I've done the research...

James Blonde 01.09.2007 02:50 PM

Showing some results would be nice says James Blonde.

val-holla-ing 01.09.2007 03:16 PM

blonde redhead.

oh wait.

Danny Himself 01.09.2007 03:33 PM

Ghost Bitch.

oh wait.

..SRSLY though I think it's pretty tough to name a band after an SY song. I've already got dibs on The Fauxhemians, by the way.

Shaking Hell

Richard Pryor on Fire 01.09.2007 04:10 PM

Angel Spit, But I think it's wrong to omit the Orange Rolls bit... But I think Angel Spit is a good band name.
or Eric's Trip, I know about a band named Psychic Hearts too. What other SY named bands are there?

sun city girl 01.09.2007 04:12 PM

eric's trip? oh, that's taken already...

how about tuff gnarl? cotton crown? chinese jam? green light? secret girl? tokyo eye? sugar kane?

SynthethicalY 01.09.2007 04:16 PM

I was thinking Shaking Hell, and Sugar Kane.

val-holla-ing 01.09.2007 04:18 PM

what about junkie's blues?

porkmarras 01.09.2007 04:20 PM

I can't think of anything worse than naming my band after another band's song. It's like asking for more trouble.

SynthethicalY 01.09.2007 04:23 PM

How about a cd porky?

buzz mutt 01.09.2007 08:24 PM

I always thought, little trouble girl would be a good name for an all girl metal band......

Like Alice Cooper, originally the name of a band, but over time Winston Rodney adopted the name Burning Spear for himself.

It should be John Wesley Hardon. That would be much more interesting. Juvenile, but interesting.

kingcoffee 01.11.2007 10:15 PM

I'd pay money to see a musician named John Wesley Hardon.
