bavarians are mostly catholic. prussians were lutherans. nazis supposedly were weird-ass occultists with old germanic mythology thrown in for propaganda.

The SS was a deep cult - see Peter Levenda's Unholy Alliance: A History of Nazi Involvement with the Occult. They allowed the Germans to practice religion where it was useful to the Reich. Christmas is a great ritual for social control. There is also a lot of paganism incorporated in the rituals.

i'm really into myths and what cultures believed thousands of years ago and how they operated. i think the Faust myth that unfolded was kind of a warning for the Germans. the only way to get out of hell is to get help from the Giants or Ubermensch. you might not go to heaven but at least you could stay on earth.

the drawring is my own interpetation of the myths i studied and i did take some liberties to make it cohesive
