I haven't heard that Banque Allemande record but I hear it's pretty good. Yes and Yes to the Mordecai record.

You can stream the entire Banque Allemande album on their soundcloud in the link. I much prefer it over their first record. Schwarz vor Schwarzer Wand and Warmes Wasser are my favourite tracks.

I think Dumb Numbers first album from the last year is more grunge than garage, but anyway I have liked it a lot. It´s very variable, b-side is really etheric.

A while ago I got Obnox's ''Corrupt Free Enterprise'', which has been a grower for me. Songs like ''Ciara'' sounded sort of goofy to me at first, like The Darkness if they started recording themselves badly and listened to Pussy Galore and The Cheater Slicks. I now play the record regularly and there isn't even a single song on it that I managed to memorise so far.

John Wesley Coleman is the sort of musician I always imagine Sway would like.

Also, some of this newer shit isn't half bad. Check out Milk Music, who are possibly a bit more traditional, Meat Puppets/Replacements inspired indie rock, but really fucking good nonethess.

White Fence, the frequent Ty Segall collaborators, are not to be missed either.

And of course there's Thee Oh Sees, the preeminent garage rock band of the era, who really do continuously manage to make captivating and exciting variations on the genre. But I'm pretty sure everybody knows about them at this point.

And ditto on Heliotropes.
